Rithvik Dhanjani, who gained popularity as Arjun in Pavitra Rishta, shares his money-saving tips and tricks with us.
What are your money-saving tricks?
I am Sindhi so this talent is inborn. I don't leave my savings just lying around. I like to keep investing in something or the other. I have money in a few bonds and funds. As far as spending is concerned, you can't just have good intentions. You need a plan and stick to it. You might find it funny, but whenever I think I am overspending, I decide to limit my expenses to Rs800 to Rs1000 per day. I've even kept my cards at home to stick to it. So even if I get the urge to buy something, I don't have any money.
What was the last great deal you got?
I had to buy something to wear for an event. I didn't have the time to get anything designed. So I jotted down a look and went to various boutiques in Lokhandwala and Bandra. I ended up buying an outfit for Rs3,500, which is way less than it would cost me in a designer shop.
Is there a product or service you don't mind paying extra for?
Well, life Insurance is one thing I would never mind paying for. What you are buying is peace of mind. Life insurance provides financial protection against events we can't control.
