While her beau Sushant Singh Rajput has already made his name in Bollywood, looks like TV actress Ankita Lokhande too has upped her stakes. With news trickling in about Ankita signing Farah Khan's Happy New Year, sources from her daily soap have questioned the actress' professional ethics.

While the film is said to go on the floors in a couple of months, insiders from Ekta Kapoor's Pavitra Rishta wonder if Ankita will ditch her show in favour of her big screen deal. Especially because, after she took a three-month break from the show previously to try her luck in Bollywood, the makers embraced her back, that too on her own terms.

A source rues, "Ankita previously left the show as she wanted to try her luck in Bollywood. But after that didn't work out, she came back. Bizarrely, Ankita demanded to play a double role and a separate track in the show because of which the soap went through a time leap. A lot of her co-stars, who didn't want to essay older characters, had to quit the show because of her. After all these adjustments, if she leaves the show again it will be highly unfair to her colleagues."

Though Ankita is said to have not yet conveyed her decision to the makers about whether to stay or leave the show, the buzz on the sets is that the actress might ditch her team in favour of Farah's film. Incidentally, Jia Mustafa, who plays a negative role in the show, has already bowed out.

However, she vehemently denies that her leaving the show has anything to do with Ankita's Bollywood prospects. "I am not leaving the show because of Ankita, as her character does not affect my track at all. However, I was not happy with the way my character was shaping up even before the leap."

Another of Ankita's colleagues, on conditions of anonymity, says, "Ankita only shoots till 2 pm everyday and has a lot of do's and don'ts. She ends up delaying the entire shoot. Unit members end up filming her scenes separately. I would have also quit if the makers had not convinced me to stay on."

However, the writer of the show, Rajesh Joshi feels that since the actress has signed a contract with the makers, she would ideally be staying put. "We don't know much about her film deal. We are still working on her double role track," he adds. Ankita remained unavailable for comment.

Ekta deserves whatever is happening to her because it's her bad karma that's hitting her back in her face. She let go of ashvik for the leap and now she gets to reap for her actions

Is it a 'team' at all? If I would have been Ankita I would have run away from a working environment like the PR sets long ago. Nobody in PR seems to satisfied or convinced as to what they are doing and are simply going with the flow as a matter of daily chore. The negativity is just a by-product of the dissatisfaction they all are feeling as actors. I have been wishing for PR to end for a long time now, hope it does soon. The show is now just a ghost of its past, haunting everyone associated with it.

What makes her unprofessional is the fact that she has ruined the careers of so many of her peers

going by the storyline, the actors which are working in the show are only cause of two reasons, loyalty or lack of other options.

- Gautama kapoor ( who almost started shooting for the show) it was snatched from her when ankita decided to come back

--Shakti arora, shruti, asha , rithvik, jia all of whom were forced to quit due to Ankita's demand for a time leap!

-- and now it's none other than Ekta kapoor

It serves Ekta right.. Hope it's a lesson for her to learn that you can never rely on ONE person to run the show. She sacrificed the rest for ONE and now she is loosing everything because of that ONE person...

Now this is just getting wayyy tooo much! Ankita has ruined all thier careers! Like seriously??!!

Yeh acha tareeka dhundh nikala hain tum sab ne.Anything goes wrong,simple just blame Ankita for it.The girl has class,unlike others,so will never retaliate,hence she becomes an easy target,right? Now what next? doodh mein makhi gir gayi hain,who is at fault? why ankita!...mere ghar mein electricity nahin aa raha,all because of Ankita! Hmph!
