What is pavitra about this rishta?

I have pretty much remained a silent reader of this forum. But, Ekta's interpretation of rishta and pavitrata is getting so skewed day by day that it is practically intolerable now,

Ekta named the show Pavitra Rishta because she is still looking for pavitra in all of the rishtas.

all the title needs is a question mark beside it... PavitraRishta?? 😊

Firstly, Arjun WANTS to tell Ovi and everyone. He does NOT promise Purvi this time that he wont. Purvi just asks him to promise her. Third, Arjun goes to Ovi to tell her everything, but he sees how happy she is with Pari and doesn't want to hurt her. If we're talking about marriage vows here, with honesty comes keeping the other happy, so i dont think Arjun is being wrong here. And lastly, not a single relation in this show is a pavitra rishta- not any.

Ovi - Arjun : not pavitra rishta , from ovi's maybe but Arjun is still yearning after his ex
Arjun Purvi : apavitra , consummate before marriage , give birth to a baby without the father's knowledge now controlling the father to keep quiet :/
Purvi onir - purvi's selfishness and onir's joru ka ghulamness

i think she kept this show's name on archana manav's relationship and that's still very pure... she never thought when she kept the name that she will create arjun purvi

I agree with your point regarding the title of the show, i still asking my self whether they should keep the name as archana and manav 's importance in this show is diminishing by the day. It was touted at one point that purvi and arjun would follow the footsteps of manav and archanna but with ovi married to arjun and purvi married to onir and ovi and purvi consummating with arjun...I dont know what to call it.

In terms of the marriage vows and honesty, I dont think it is to the extent of breaking your marriage vows if you keep a secret as such from your wife especially if it can lead to separation or more confusion in your marriage. What happened between arjun and purvi was before arjun married to ovi. So what resulted from their past relationship should not be brought into their current relationships.

Ovi knew that arjun and purvi has a past and I think is enough for her to know. However, I think it is best if she does not know the truth about the baby unless arjun and purvi is planning on getting back together for their daughter's sake. What I think should have been done is that purvi should have kept her child and let ovi mourn the lost of hers. Purvi should have also informed arjun that he is the father of her child as I think he deserved to know this much knowing how much they loved each other.

Arjun did not deserve to find out about his and purvi's daughter in the manner in which he found out. I loved the way he handled purvi today.

It was in the beginning but now it is not for them too. This is the most illogical serial I have watched
