Onir is becoming a Criminal rather than being a doctor just bcoz he wants to hide the truth but i read WU where he told in precap that DNA test will be done in between Arjun n Onir but i can tell you Ekta will make reverse of it by bringing the test in Purvi n Ovi.

guys first and foremost ...what is this hunger strike ., plzz will sumone elucidate me

and kalapi who is the baba

i went back to India , stayed for a year and came back coz i realized a few hometruths

culture depends on what and how u practice it at home

what culture to give kids there when all the kids there r running after western culture encouraged by materialistic parents

corruption is unmanageable especially in education sector

the indian kids here have a greater respect for indian culture

did not want kids to curse me when they grow up ...that all here r standing in the line of going there but u brought us here

i can survive in both countries its them i should think about

at least quality of life is better here .

that changed my mind set and put me at peace . Even the hindi serials glorify foreign culture . They use indian sanskaars only to rake in money ...they have made a holi bonfire of indian sanskaars . Example , PR .

Kools,
Nowdays Indian girls are going Gaga over the television serials whenever i travel through trains i see ladies talking about the show n their unmatchable stories but 1 thing is there talk in a unity manner where every1's point is to be considered in a right way.

yes gaurav

what i realised is

in this era , culture does not belong to any country but needs to be truly practised at home ...wherever u live . It is kaliyuga ...so called cultural countries r hitting rock bottom by becoming fiendishly materiiaistic . It is the era where all depends on the individual . You can be whatever u want if u really believe in it .

as for the hunger strike and the baba🤣

Kools, I absolutely agree on the part about India and kids..My main point to move back was thinking that my kids might have a better upbringing there...but I do believe that it actually might be better here...hence I guess, USA will be home now for a long while! :)

Culture I think stems as much as what you learn at home, but also what you learn outside...The whole idea of aping the west blindly has gone so far that there is no sense of "culture" left anymore in today's kids...I have nieces and nephews and listening to their talks about college and kids and what goes on, it truly is a terrifying idea...I always feel, that kids once in school, learn whatever they do from other kids and their behaviors...sometimes you are lucky to have a child who shares everything they see and learn outside with you, but sometimes you just never know what they have observed and taken as a message...Children with mobile phones at 5th grade...and my cousin's daughter came home wanting one too simply cuz all the "cool' kids in her class had it...after explaning to her, she made statements like I hate my parents simply cuz they did not yield to her tantrums...I am not a mom yet, but I can imagine the immense pressure of raising kids in such a competitively bad world outside...I don't know how easy it is over here either, but I do know from families around me that they have somehow more control over their kids ( in terms of what they teach their kids, values, morals etc) and somehow a more relaxed upbringing overall..It is a bit overhyped about western culture and how kids here are into drugs and sex early on...I find it more suitable to the idea of metro cities in India now and the kids there...But again, I do love India and I would not mock it...This is just the present condition of how things are going on...I am not saying it should be archaic but blindly aping the West and not retaining own individual culture makes you feel like "na idhar ka na udhar ka"..it leaves you in the middle...but yes, I do agree on the count that you can be whatever you want to be...and wherever you live, you can retain your individual culture...just that upbringing should be strong and close enough for your kids to share their experiences with you, so you can teach them right versus wrong...some of the kids I know have such parallel lives at home versus outside...It is sad that parents have not an ounce of idea what the kids are upto!

Also, about Indian sanskaars and their portrayal...I don't see one single show on TV showing any semblance of sanskaars...everything is aped from western shows...swapping, multiple partners/husbands and what not...look at pre-marital sex being glorified in PR...in actuality which Indian household is alright with pre-marital sex? Not today even after all the westernization...PR is the biggest dhabba on any kind of morals that Indians have...and yes show westernization or glorify illegitimate relationships or incest or whatever but then don't give names like pavitra rishta and don't tout them as being sanskaars...

The hunger strike is mentioned in a couple of news articles about PR...apparently ARVI fans are on a hunger strike to protest for their re-union on the show..and some of them are going to march to filmcity to make this protest too :P LOL

The baba kalapi is talking about is some random spam message from some baba on the forum about marital relationships! I agree he has cme to the right forum :P

One thing I have noticed on some of the forums is that when the serial is showing some sort of immoral relationship and it is criticized, then a poster will come on and say that it's the foreigners/ and people of western culture who are accepting the immoral relationships, That in India marriage and relationships have more importance.

As a foreigner, that really pisses me off because I want to tell these posters that it is an Indian serial that is showing these immoral relationships. That the people of "western culture" do not pretend to be mahaan while doing wrong and characterless things. If marriage and relationships are of great importance, if the values and principles are so flawless then they need to show that on the serials.
Why must they show us these degrading relationships and then blame it on western culture?
At the end of the day, the viewership of the people outside of India do not affect the TRPs and most importantly, for foreigners like myself who have never been to India, but viewing it through these serials will think that what is shown on these serials reflect what is actually happening in India.
No offense to anyone but just stating my opinion.

I agree with u Julie

i feel ashamed as an indian to see Indian sanskaars portrayed by the likes of Sulochana , Archana and Purvi

there is a serial which shows a young man coming to US to earn money coz his family back there is in a financial crisis

the serial is full of racist comments and constantly glorifies India and puts US down

i get pissed although i am an indian at seeing such blatant racism, such untruths

although i love my country i also respect the country that gave me shelter and a job and bettr quality of life ...they r peace loving and value talent . Don't show nonsense . Even in PR the remarks against Canada by characters without stirring outside India bothered me .
