Onir didn't want to ask Purvi about her past,because that would embarasse her,but he expected Arjun to tell him truth..

well said yaar...onir is just too sweet...and i wonder how can we choose between arvi and purvi/onir when onir is also this good...purvi defo deserves the best...i always support arvi...but onir is afterall not that bad...

This is a good point and I do not want to offer a counter argument - just an explanation for what might be the reason.
In MHO, it may be because Onir is not self-absorbed and his slapping is out of concern for Purvi and not for himself. Ovi's child certainly deserves a lot of sympathy (not the least for having a no-brain mother). But the only sympathy Ovi deserves is for not getting proper upbringing (which Teju also did not get). As far as her love life and marriage are concerned, she has been an obsessive character from even before Purvi's entry (the episode set in Canada with her reactions to Arjun talking to a business colleague already gave an indication of this). It is hard to sympathize with a woman who is always screaming at others.

Because a man's physical strength shows he's the greatest of all-of course it does

It isn't and is Onir's fault he doesn't know the full truth, but to approach the matter physically doesn't suit his character- isn't he supposed to be the calm, peaceful, intelligent doctor? Seems like that was too little to show how good he is that he needed to slap another man. Good job The little liking i had for Onir's good- character decreased just a bit

sympathy for ovi!? She does not deserve that... Onir inspite of knowing that purvi dont love him, still concerned for her happiness, this ovi knowing everything abt arvi snatched arjun as an exchange offer!! Onir and ovi never ever comparable...

Had Onir be engaged to Purvi and she dumped him for Arjun his brother than one can defo see ovi's pain...But again wrong place to find logic..

yes there vl be happiness with the union of arvi at the same tym sadness with the separation of purvi and onir... Still arvi's love weighs more, this happiness vl covers up that sadness...let arjun knw the truth soon...
