Purvi watched her watch- 5 o'clock it read. Work was pretty hectic today, and needless to say that Purvi was more tired than usual. With the upcoming project to complete, Purvi was sure that the days to follow would tire her to no ends. On top of that, that Romeo would be dancing on her head! Damn he was irritating yet cute, Purvi couldn't stop herself from adding the last part. Yes, she would never admit to anyone, not even Riya, but she couldn't deny that Arjun was every girl's dream, but he was like a distant star to her!

If only this wasn't a pretentious relationship!!!Purvi thought with a sigh.

She took her handbag and went to meet the owner of the coffee shop to bid her goodbye. Outside, it was pretty somber and gloomy, giving a sign that it would rain soon. Damn! thought Purvi, not that she hated the rain, but it was really chilly outside and she didn't even carry a sweater today and on top of that the rain! Purvi absolutely hated to travel by bus when it rained. Purvi made her way to the bus stop when she heard the honking of a car!

Purvi didn't need to turn to know that it was Arjun in the car. She continued her way avoiding Arjun once again. She didn't want to fight with him now! She walked a small distance and realized that the honking had stopped now, atleast now she had her way!

As Purvi was about to take another step, she heard Arjun's voice;

Arjun: Peanut not one more step!

Purvi was reeling with anger on hearing those words. She absolutely hated it when someone else dictated her what to do and what not.

Purvi: And who are you to decide that?

Arjun: Peanut, why are you being so difficult?

Purvi: what did I do?

Arjun: I was honking for so long and don't even try to lie to me that you didn't hear it!

Purvi: Ohh I did hear it, but I thought that it one of the rogues, you know who likes to tease girls! And looks like I was not wrong!

Now it was Arjun's turn to get angry! He caught her hand and pulled her harshly towards himself, making her soft and delicate body crash against his hard and well-built one. Purvi tried to wriggle out of his trap but eventually failed! So, she used the most powerful weapon she had; her words!

Purvi: Why are you getting angry Arjun, what I said about you is absolutely right and what you are doing right now proves that.

Arjun: Here, I came to fetch you thinking that it may rain and you would have trouble going home and you are showing me your arrogance.

Purvi: You don't need to do this, you understand, I can manage by myself.

Arjun: Why are you being so difficult Purvi?We are just acting'..

Purvi(cuts in):Exactly, that's my problem! Why the hell do I need to do something that I don't want to!Why did you have to force me'..

Arjun left her hand, guilt hitting him badly.

Purvi continued: Arjun your life will be back to normal when you throw me out of your life; but what about me! The entire college knows about us, What if my mother comes to know''what will I do then? But you don't care right? Why would you care! You have no reason to. You don't even to care that you are making my life miserable with this acting of ours'..

Arjun: Purvi,Stop! Ok!Let's go to the car, i'll drop you home!

Purvi: No, you don't need to, I told you i'm capable to manage without you'

Arjun glared at her and despite her protestations pulled her to his car, locking her door effectively to prevent her from descending! He sat at the driver's seat and started the car.

Purvi: How dare you do that? Wait, how dare you even touch me!I'm not Ovi, alright, who would be fine with all this, i'm a girl of principles and good values.

Arjun: Are you questioning my values!

Purvi: What do I have to question, do you even know what values are??No, you don't! I pity your parents; they gave you everything except good values!

Arjun(fuming!):You're going out of your limits PURVI DESHMUKH!

Purvi: Where was this limit of yours when you were forcing me to be your girlfriend!

Arjun:It's not that you don't like having the title of my girlfriend'

Purvi: I would prefer to die than to be your girlfriend'.

Arjun: If you believe that i'm you're pretend boyfriend then you have no business getting angry with Riya when she was flirting with me, I even heard you were possessive about me which proves to me that you are accepting that you are my girlfriend and that you are enjoying that title a lot'.afterall not everybody gets the chance to even come close to Arjun Kirloskar!

Purvi: What the hell do you mean!Can't you see that I don't want to be with you!

Arjun(seething with anger): No, I think you must be quite happy having Arjun Kirloskar as your boyfriend!

Purvi: Ohhh cut the crap Arjun, you are a fool to think that i'm happy to be wih you, nobody can be happy with you, come to think of it I think that's why Ovi broke up with you!

Arjun: Do not even dare to bring Ovi in our conversation!

Purvi: Why should I not bring her in our conversation'.IT'S BECAUSE OF HER THAT EVERYTHING IS GOING WRONG IN MY LIFE!!!!!

Arjun(in a loud tone): I said don't bring her in all this'..she hasn't done anything wrong and please Purvi i'm already having a headache so please can we postpone the fight for tomorrow.

Purvi shut herself up, she didn't know why but she didn't want to trouble Arjun when he was having a headache! That was when she noticed that it was drizzling and that would soon turn into a heavy rain!!Purvi smiled, she loved the rain!She has always loved it- dancing in the rain, then getting scolded by her mother, followed by the warmth of her mother's embrace and finally the hot tea with spicy snacks'

On other side Arjun was relieved that Purvi stopped talking! He knew that she was right to some extent but he couldn't bear that Purvi was blaming Ovi! Ovi was absolutely not to be blamed in all this fiasco, infact she is the one who is'''.

Arjun's thought was cut short when Purvi shook him and told him''urhhh ordered him to stop!He stopped the car as if on instincts!

Arjun: Purvi, why???

Purvi opened the door making Arjun gasp, and moved outside!Arjun was confused as to what she was doing! She didn't have any sweater!Shit!She would fall ill! He looked outside and he saw Purvi outside!!She was twirling around in the rain'.completely oblivious to her surrounding! She looked serene in the rain, beautiful like an angel! Heck, the picture she made right now would put any girl to shame!

Arjun got down from his car absolutely lost in the beauty in front of him!He took small steps towards her''as if hypnotized by her!

Purvi was absolutely enjoying the rain'.

Eyes closed'..

Nose smelling the beauty of nature'..

Lips stretched upwards in a beautiful smile'..

Hands wide open'.

Hairs making her more beautiful if that was even possible''..

Arjun had a small smirk on his face'.This girl was an absolute beauty!So simple yet so attractive! He moved towards Purvi slowly and quietly not wanting to disturb her peaceful moment! Arjun has always hated the rain, he never understood how people could even like the rain'.to him rain was an absolute mood buster!

But today he didn't hide like he always did when it rained! He wanted to love the rain today'he wanted to enjoy it for the first time in his life'and that was when;

Arjun's phone decided to make an appearance and being an important call Arjun couldn't avoid it!He looked at Purvi who had her eyes wide open and apparently noting his arrival! Arjun moved a little away and answered the phone'.After his important conversation, he turned around and saw that Purvi was still in the rain, though she was more conscious about Arjun's presence! Arjun made his way towards his prey speeding up the heartbeat of the latter!

Purvi looked down, suddenly finding the ground more interesting, Arjun came close to her'

Very close'''.

He pulled Purvi once again in his arms, he caught her waist as if never to let go'and Purvi''s hands made their way to Arjun's chest in an attempt to stabilize herself..Purvi opened her mouth to say something but Arjun effectively shut her up by putting his finger on her lips'Purvi looked up only to have her eyes captured by that of Arjun!They looked picture perfect'.like a couple deep in love!

Arjun was the first one to break the eye-lock, he turned Purvi around slowly so that she had her back plastered on his chest, making the confused Purvi even more confused! Arjun slid his hands along both her forearms and finally caught hold of her palms.He locked his hands with that of hers and opened them wide, recreating the Titanic pose!

Lost in the beauty of the moment, Purvi rested her head on Arjun's chest and and both moved their heads towards the sky'..

Feeling the beauty on the rain''..

Feeling each droplet of water on their face''

So close to each other'

Yet so far!

Both felt contented at what they experienced! It was magical and heavenly to both of them, a new kind of experience which overwhelmed both of them to no ends. And the rain''it was as if even the Gods were happy seeing them together, thus showering them with the blessings'Arjun turned Purvi around...Not able to bear the distance between them, Arjun bent down slowly taking his own sweet time, but before he could touch her lips, Purvi pushed him and walked a little away from him!

Purvi walked away from him, not able to believe what he was about to do! How could he just come close to me and try to kiss me! We are pretending for God's sake. And what the hell was I thinking, how ccould I just go so close to him!Damn! What's wrong with me, ok it's clear that i'm attracted to roadside Romeo but he loves Ovi! Then what the hell was he doing with me, is he attracted to m''.NO, that's not possible'..he was just lost in the heat of the moment'..and i'm sure nothing would have happened, he would have moved off once he realized what he was about to do!

Yes, that's it!That was when she heard;

Arjun: Purvi, we need to talk!

Purvi: Don't worry Arjun, I understand, don't worry that happens!

Arjun: No, no Purvi, I can't pretend anymore, I have something very important to tell you and that can't wait!

Purvi: Arjun, please I don't want to talk about that topic again!

Purvi looked around in a way to distract herself from Arjun's heated gaze, and that's when she saw a little Dhabba a little distance away from where they were! This was the perfect excuse to avoid the 'kiss' topic.

Purvi: I'm hungry!

Arjun: Purvi, what I have to say is much more important than your hunger.

Purvi: Arjun please let's go, I'm very hungry!Please

With that Purvi dragged Arjun towards the dhabba! Seeing where she planned to eat made Arjun frown;

Arjun: Purvi, that's not healthy, please don't eat that!

Purvi:Who is the one who is hungry?

Arjun:You!

Purvi: So who is the one going to eat the 'unhealthy food'

Arjun: Purvi, please, let's go to some good restaurant and you can have anything you want to eat!

Purvi ignored Arjun and ordered her chai and several plates of chaat!Arjun could only sigh at the Purvi's stubbornness!Women,He thought!An enigma nobody would ever be able to understand!!!!

Purvi took her place on the a small bench which was sheltered from the rain which has haltered a bit!She sat down and started to gobbling her chaat one after the other, completely ignoring Arjun's presence!

She was an absolute sight to look at when she was eating!The way she opened her mouth wide to gobble down the entire chaat at one go, the way she closed her eyes while savouring the delicious yet spicy chaat, Arjun stopped his train of thoughts!He didn't wanted to commit the same mistake again, heck, she would murder him if he tried to kiss her again!

Arjun turned his face around not wanting to see more of Purvi, he knew he would lost it if he continued to look at her!

After her chaat spree, Purvi finally remembered that Arjun was sitting next to her, she looked at him and was thankful that Arjun was looking away! She was having difficulty sitting next to him, she was conscious of Arjun's presence! Very conscious actually, she was having a bad time controlling her heartbeats which were going haywire after what happened earlier on! She was acting unaffected around him!She wouldn't show him her real feelings!

She would never show him that'''.

Lol wow I just checked up on this ff earlier and walllah I get a PM. What a beautiful update dear, u are so so so wrong about not knowing how to write romantic scenes, u had me smilling from ear to ear reading it, was brilliant. So it looks like the tables have turned on our pretend couple and both have developed thunderous feelings...lol. Loved how u brought in the dhabba scene.
