I don't agree about Savita's real love towards Manav. When she started getting insecure about Archana, it was because she saw Archana taking over her place in Manav's life, esp with money and decision making. As a mother, you love your son, but you cannot be insecure of his wife. It all escalated due to Archana's crazy mahaanta behavior and her pull towards her maika. But the reason it all started coming up was Savi's own insecurity.Actually, in real life too, a son's wife can be a threat to a MIL, it actually does happen. If this MIL is clever she will get over it quickly and learn to handle situation skillfully without allowing her insecurities to hamper relationships. A new bahu coming and taking the son and doing things different can be nerve racking and need adjusting to. In most of this tricky situations the FIL can be a real help...supporting and smoothing the bahu/saas interactions...but, in this aspect, Savita was a real loser with Damo as a hubby...he always sided with Archana, never failing to rub it in on Savita...Damo rather supported Archana/Manju even after Sachin death or the 2 time jail that all Deshmukhs went...he is another namuna in PR land...
When she saw her son struggle for 18 years to come to terms with his separation from wife, any mother would have melted for his sake, but savita's concern was Archana coming and taking over again. It was fear and insecurity and certainly not love that Savita went to such drastic levels to keep the two apart. Mother's are not known to put themselves before the child but that is what she did.
Savita didn't want Archana back in Manav's life simply becoz in my POV that Archana did with the Sulo incidences in Deshmukh home, Court case/ payments on Sulo's house plus other loans and the behavior of Karanjakr during first miscarriage and Soham incident...any Mother will run with her son from a bahu...who only meant one destruction or hardship after another...oh, not to forget the slaps Manav receives...if I was Manav mother, I could have asked Manav to file for divorce after the first slap from MIL...what respect did the Mechanic Manav have in Karanjkar home compared to the other 'rich' damads...
Her love for Sachin and the other grand kids is pure though. She feels for all of them truly and cannot see them in pain. That definitely is purer than Sulo;s lop sided love. :P LOL Sulo ji switches to whichever grand kid seems more favorable in a certain situation. haha:P Consistency is never there for one.
