Thread for Ovita supporters and Purchana Bashers

I like Ovi for the following reasons. When she was first introduced she was a sweet and loving girl who respected her Dad, and grandma and family members. She may have been a bit shallow and too much into her outward appearance but so what. Most girls that age are. I never saw her as "spoiled" as many on this board suggest. Nowadays, the CVs have butchered her character to show her as an obsessive person. Instead of feeling some empathy for this character, Purchana supporters call her Psycho, spoiled brat, etc. This poor girl is in the state she is in solely due to Archana. It is irrefutable that she has never received a mother's love because her mother gave her up without a fight and didn't even bother to inquire or try to have a relationship with her all her life. Forget Savita's brainwashing, any child that knows their mother is alive and well out there somewhere and has never bothered to find them, imagine what must be going through their head. Then when you finally find that mother, and you see that she is raising an adopted daughter and showering her with so much love and attention, how is that child supposed to feel. Completely abandoned and neglected. Especially when it appears that she is showing preference to Purvi by supporting her engagement to Arjun. Archana should've remained neutral in this situation. She showed a complete lack of sensitivity by getting Arvi engaged so soon after Ovi-Arjun break up.

Who cares what the circumstances were in why Archana gave up her daughters, no one held a gun to her head. It is the repercussions of this action that matters. These 2 girls, Ovi & Teju grew up without a mother's love, not because of Savita, not because of Manav, not because of anyone but the fault of Archana. Archana did not have the guts to fight for her children and she just let them go. This is her pattern, she never fights for the important things in life like her husband, kids, family. She only fights for stupid things, like her high standards, ethics, morals, beliefs...She fought for the Chawl people over her husband. Now tell me how are the Chawl people bothered about ARchana? They are living their lives happily with their respective spouses, while Archana is facing divorce.

I can't stand Purvi for the same exact reasons, because she is a mini clone of Archana. Always thinking she is right, and self righteous and on her moral high horse. The way she challenged Sachin and Arjun in the beginning, showed that she thinks her way of thinking is the only right way. Who died and made her Queen of Morals and Ethics? It is sick the way she is trying to reunite Arman without a care for Ovi/Teju/Sachin's feelings. First of all she is not Manav's daughter, he did not adopt her. Why is Archana trying to force a relationship with Manav and Purvi? It is sickening. He is Ovi, Teju, Sachin, and Soham's dad. Purvi needs to keep her nose out of Deshmukh family's business. Why should Manav be expected to give Purvi any support when Archana isn't providing any support to Ovi and only shows concern for Purvi's happiness and future. Ovi has already lost Arjun (her childhood love), her mother, and now they want to cause a rift between Ovi and Manav. This is selfish beyond reason. Purvi has her man, she is elated at the turn of events. Archana should leave well enough alone and not constantly ask Manav to do this and that for Purvi's wedding. Manav's sole focus should be on Ovi and helping her to heal and get over Arjun. Arjun is a Rat of the worst kind. The way he treated Ovi, his best friend from childhood is unacceptable. He should've had more sensitivity and been honest from the beginning instead of stringing her along.

The only strong character is my lovely Savita. She does not mince her words. She tells it like it is and that is what I have always loved about this character. She saw Archana for the two faced person she is. Savita tried to love this bahu of hers, but this bahu never left any stone unturned in wreaking havoc in her son, Manav's life. So what is a mother to do, watch patiently while this bahu goes on destroying him bit by bit. No mother would do that (except maybe ARchana with her bio kids). So Savita did what she felt is right, to protect her son and more power to her!
