If Arjun was really bad and irresponsible, the rich guy could have been a jerk, living off his dad's earnings, jetsetting around the world. Instead, he has committed himself to an ordinary girl in India and is working really hard in his father's company...Am I missing something? Oh yes, Ekta and logic have never been in tandem!
And the less said about Archana the better. She ran off with Manav (during her wedding to another man) who had dumped her previously, to marry his dead brother's girlfriend so that the child she had bourne could get legitimacy in Indian society!
And yes, the fact that Arjun was living off his dad's reputation was of little consequence when he was engaged to cling-on Ovi (though I have to admit I felt a little sorry for her today-for about ten seconds) and it was acceptable for Ovi to caress and kiss him in public!
The key in this whole mess is Purvi. I think the poor girl despite her firey temperament on the outside suffers from low self-esteem due to the loss of her parents and the subsequent adoption by Archana, as she has this inane need to please and be loved by everyone, particularly Archana. It is what I would term the orphan Annie syndrome.
Of course, she loves Archana who as a mother gave her a home but I feel she is almost emotionally indebted to Archana to the point that her life is stifling. But Purvi needs to rise from this slumber and realise a parent's love is unconditional like DKs who supported Arjun (even when his son erred and caused a car crash as Arjun did with the whole Purvi and Ovi fiasco).
I think Purvi needs to stand firm and tell Archana that she loves both and will not choose. Just as Archana as important to her so is Arjun who truly loves her. I mean what the hell does Archana think Arjun a rich Canadian business heir, who could take his pick of girls want with Purvi? Excuse my frankness, but it is not as if she is going to sleep with him is it!
Again the same old drivel. The ordinary Indian girl is put in an emotional quandry and forced to choose between her love and the approval of her parents, yes I use the term parent loosley here, as Purvi belives manav the incidental father is her baba!
Sorry, but I was so angry after watching Archana's performance this evening, I had to vent my anger!
