just saw THE scene

the way I see it Jaywant is lovelorn. He is obsessed. He is weakened.

I don't think Jay loves Archana (even in his own way). I think he could have at one time but Archana never gave him the chance.

Jay did not originally think of Archana in a desirable sense. he was appreciative of her good looks but in a casual manner.

he was not even attracted to her when dharmesh suggested the match, though they had been in close proximity for months. He considered Archana as a suitable marriageable prospect. typical for someone looking for an arranged alliance. I did not find his non-romantic reasons bad. In fact I thought he was very pragmatic at the time.

I think the very moment that he really got attracted to Archana (for me) was when SHE walked up to him and asked if he would still marry her. I am not sure if it was her bold gesture or her submissive, docile attitude doing it that attracted him. they never developed the character enough for us to understand this

At this point of time, he stopped seeing her as a prospect but as HIS WOMAN TO BE. still non-romantic. more possessive.

jaywant is a go-getter. such people steal success, anyway they can. again does not make them bad in doing so (unless their act is criminal) just makes them admirable to watch at play.

archana's remoteness, her non-chalant responses, insensitive hold on to manav and old memories did not repel but actually attracted jaywant - not for love or lust but as a challenge. he was still playing a catch me if you can game. that is a sure-fire way of engaging and enrapturing a game maker. that is what jaywant is and archu unwittingly was playing the part of the bait in a very appealing and delectable way.

his obsession now is for the failure he faced. yes he is attracted to her. he thinks he is in love with her genuiely but actually in my opinion he is reeling from the fact that he was not able to possess her. the game maker lost the play. he will continue to think he is in love with her until he gets her. then he will realize it was not her but the image of her in his own mind he was obsessed about.

that will never happen, the CVS and the audience will not allow it, so we will never get the opportunity of seeing jaywant hit this realization and tire of Archana. his belief in his love for her is genuine, he has just misunderstood his own feelings. I think.

I felt bad for him today. I think the whole comment about you are not Manav was in poor taste. This was a man you agreed to marry inspite of knowing about him and Manav. This was a man you rejected not for his own misdeeds but for your own fantasy. Some sensitivity to him and the shock he received from your abrupt and 11th hour departure would have been appreciated.

very good analysis Hope .I agree with your take on Jaywant's love for Archana .It is not love , this is something else ...

And yes, Archan should be more sensitive .I think she was trying to avoid him today but he made her angry because ..

He called Manav , Kamina ...

He reminded her of the dark and painful truth about her life ' that her devta was going to dump her for another woman ' . No matter how hard Archu tried to conceal the truth but the fact is that what Jaywant was saying was true ...She was going to get dumped and was being forced into a a marriage with Jaywant by Manav himself ...

Truth hurts , doesn't it ..That is why Archan snapped back and tried to hurt Jaywant by throwing Manav 's name at him ...

This is just going to get her in more trouble ....A lot of what Jaywant said today was true .....but Archana doesn't want to hear the truth ...

My questions -

1.Where were Manju and Vinod? Vaishali and Dharmu were on good terms with them right ? Then why were they not invited.

2.Why didnt Manav even enquire where Sachu was?

3.If all the factory workers were invited where was Ajit?

Nice commentary Kool and nice episode. Will watch it tomorrow.

Its really late so wont write much but I had a few concerns. Y was Manav not at the party?? Y did Archana go alone?? Manav refused to go alone to wish his mom happy birthday and I think this party was for a very big reason, bigger than a birthday I think, then y didnt Archana say I m not going without u Manav!! Yea Manav wud hav been insulted but even Savita insults them all the time but they still went there na then y did she not take him with her?????

Also, Manav missing from the party and Manav not knowing abt this incident is going to play a major part I think. He is going to b maha upset with Archu I think. They cant show a couple all happy all the time on TV. There has to b a 'misunderstanding' after happy times! I think Archu shud tell him. Manav is her husband and he has a right to know so he cud protect her.

Thanks Kool for your excellent commentary. I just could not help laughting....especially about the sperm thing.....you are just so funny.

I really don't want Jaywant spoiling anything for Arman....Kool, I know that you like Jaywant, but I am enjoying Arman together in their little house.

Savita was so happy to see her son and all 4 looked so great together.

hey kool..i still cnt get over the fact tht suddenly dharmu has TWO women fighting for his sperms..every batatawada has his day i guess..and i found the ordering scene is little over the top too..i mean,its a pav-bhaji shop..its not like they have a 20 page menu to choose frm tht there was so much juvenile harkat of ordering opposite food..and fight abt what??butter pav-bhaji or plain pav-bhaji..its not like they are two different dishes even..butter is an add-on for crying out loud..sumtimes the scriptwriter really shud be fined for writing such ridiculous scenes..
