Czesc everyone... I am Zofia from Poland now currently in India. I post sometimes in DM or other places, just visit India forums, hover around 😊, i like to watch some of the serials of India too, speciall now that I am here.

I am curious to know "sanskaar". I saw one topic on it, but did not comment as dont want to go off topic! I always wondered this word! Can only Indians have it?

I am a Polish girl and I am curious because I am in an Indian family, I wish to know your take on it ... definition and evaluation maybe? You all know so much about this I can see here. Spirited 😉

Polki_Zofi .....
Sanskaar means values. good or bad. These values r inscribed in a person from his childhood days by his family, friends, teachers and most importantly parents.
I don;t know what prompted u to ask that whether only Indians can have Sanskaars but the truth is that every human being has them. If a person has moral values we call it 'good Sanskaar' and if they r bad its known as 'bad Sanskaars' given to that person.
The only difference between 2 countries 'Sanskaar' is the thoughts of mind. For Eg :- In India we don't consider smooching, etc before marriage to be a good Sanskaar of a person but in America, it is fine.
So values r just the way we preconceive it in our minds.

Sanskar from the Sanskrit word samskaram is Hindi for a complex composite of values, ideals, behaviour, habits. The original word alluded to a Vedic (religious) rite of passage for young people. Since then it has come to indicate the way people do things, right or wrong, i.e do they have good sanskars or bad sanskars. Sanskars are generally supposed to be inculcated by authority figures like parents/grandparents and teachers.
