The duo's dog who they had apparently adopted from the sets of Pavitra Rishta and had named Scotch was serious and was hospitalised two days ago. So upset was Ankita that she kept crying throughout the shoot.

Our source from the show informs, "Ankita had been troubled from the past two days and refused to give bytes to the media present on the sets for obvious reasons. She was mighty worried as her god Scotch was unwell and was hospitalised. Both Ankita and Sushant were concerned about their dog. Scotch couldn't brave through the disease and succumbed to death yesterday morning. Ankita was reduced to tears and it was difficult to pacify her."

All attempts to reach Ankita and Sushant remained futile.
