Dipping TRPs to bring in a leap in Pavitra Rishta?
Just a few months back Zee's top show Pavitra Rishta had gone for a year's leap to show the transition between Archana and Manav's relationship. The show has retained its no 1 position on Zee. However with the onslaught of several shows on rival channels its TRPs have been affected. We now hear the makers of the show are planning on yet another leap in the show.
A source from the show says," The show has been doing well for the channel and it is still at the no 1 position. However this week due to the launch of KBC 4 and Bigg Boss 4 we saw a dip in the show's TRP. Since the show is pitted against both the shows at the 9 pm slot the dip was certain. At one point we were at a TRP of 6 and now we are somewhat close to 4. This week we managed a TRP of 4.2. Considering this we are at a stage where we might consider a leap in the show. Nothing is fixed though but there are chances of a leap being thought about. The leap that we brought in the show initially was just a year's leap but now the leap might be a bigger one. It all depends on how the show's ratings move here onwards."
We called up Sushant Singh Rajput to confirm this buzz. Says Rajput, "I have absolutely no idea about this. I can't comment on it." When probed further if he would like to continue if the leap happened he says," Again aisa toh nahin hoga aur agar hua bhi toh main nahin karunga (It won't happen but if it does I wont be a part of the show)"
Ankita Lokhande remained busy to comment. The track now focuses on the feud between Manav and Jaywant. While Manav has discovered Jaywant's evil side he does not want Archana to get married to him. The coming episodes will now show how Manav will fight against the odds to stop the wedding.
