Ajay Wadavkar
ActorAjay Wadavkar is a source of inspiration for everyone. The actor, who suffers from chronic diabetes, had five of his toes amputated some time ago due to a wound which was neglected.
However, despite all of that, the actor is standing tall. "I received immense support from Ekta Kapoor. This is what added to a speedy recovery," says the actor, who's currently seen in Ekta's Pavitra Rishta. "I am absolutely fine now and I've been given special sandals to fit my foot. However, I find it difficult to work for long hours. Also climbing up and getting down the stairs is a strain to my legs," he says. Ajay was very popular on TV years ago while he was part of the hit serial Nukkad. But after that, he was hardly seen on the small screen. "It's been a struggle," he admits. "But I'm very happy with what I'm doing today," he smiles. Nothing can dampen this actor's spirits. "After my operation, I made it a point to make the best of the worst so much so that I even crack jokes about my limp," he says. So if you're down in the dumps, you might want to take a cue from Ajay Wadavkar.
