@TB: Yeah, they had boycotted him in the past cos of Ekta. He had left Ekta's mindless soap called KTH and Ekta was mighty well miffed- the serial ran only cos of Rajeev just like PR runs cos of Sushant-Ankita. At that time all of Ekta's shows did well on Star and they played by her rules only. Rajeev was blankly told that if you quit the serial then you won't find any work in the industry.

And look where he is now! He did serials after that too and got lots of awards also. Ultimately Star called him back with Sach ka saamna.

He came in my college festival. I have his autograph on a mug with his photo printed on it. I met him personally as well and he shook my hand twice.

Wow Nikita, they make everything seem so dramatic: "You won't find any work in this industry.", its just a TV show, not a life-threatening disease. He ended up successful though, still seems to have legions of fans. You're so lucky that you got to meet him, that must have been wonderful.
