STAR Plus continues to reign; Colors and Zee tie at No. 2

In Week 15, STAR Plus has once again emerged as the leader of the Hindi GEC market. The surprise of the week is Zee TV, which ties with Colors at No. 2.
According to TAM Media Research (C&S 4+, HSM) data, STAR Plus has garnered 319 GRPs with a share of 25 per cent to rule the roost. Zee TV has 260 GRPs -- 15 GRPs lower than in Week 14; while Colors has acquired 258 GRPs. Both GECs have an identical market share of 20 per cent.

Sony has maintained its No. 4 position in the market, with 146 GRPs and a channel share of 11 per cent. Imagine and SAB, at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively, have also retained their positions. Imagine has 96 GRPs with a relative channel share of 7 per cent; while SAB has 78 GRPs with 6 per cent share.
STAR One has managed a channel share of 4 per cent; DD1 and Sahara One have acquired 2 per cent each; while STAR Utsav survived with 1 per cent in Week 15.
Among the top 10 programmes of Week 15, Pavitra Rishta has zoomed to the top with a TVR of 6.3. Close behind is Uttaran, with a TVR of 6.2. The No. 3 position goes to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, which has managed a TVR of 5.7. At No. 4 and No. 5 are Bidaai and Pratigya, with TVRs of 5.1 and 4.9, respectively.
The other programmes on the list are: Dance India Dance 2, Na Aana Is Des Lado, Jhansi Ki Rani, Balika Vadhu and Chhoti Bahu.
