PR is the #1 show of the week - Article

Most of the Hindi entertainment channels remained unchanged in pecking order, according to latest viewing data for Week 51.

Colors, STAR Plus and ZEE TV went up on their numbers from last week. Colors was top with 303 GRPs, STAR Plus second with 280 and ZEE TV not far behind with 271.

ZEE TV had reason to celebrate as its newly launched second series 'Dance India Dance' opened with an outstanding rating of 3.9 and 4.9 TVRs on Friday (18th December) and Saturday (19th December) respectively. Not only this, the channel's 'Pavitra Rishta' cuts across competition to emerge as the top rated show with a rating of 6.3 TVRs in the fiction genre.

An elated Nitin Vaidya, COO ZEEL and Business Head, ZEE TV said, "It is a feeling of accomplishment. We are motivated with the ratings of Lux Dance India Dance and Pavitra Rishta and overwhelmed by viewers response. This goes to show how eagerly people were waiting for Lux Dance India Dance. It provides an impetus to the team to strive harder. We will continue to put in our best efforts into making our shows such a huge success."

Sony Entertainment Television Asia was fourth with 179, NDTV Imagine next with 90 and SAB TV in sixth with 83 GRPs.

Funny thing is that when ArMan were together, the show could not fetch a high TRP of 6, but now that the drama is reaching high point of misunderstandings, death, permanent seperation,, the show is leading the TRPS race. Wonder what khichdhi must be cooking in creative's head reg the next track i.e Sharavni-M track. 😭 😆

yea it's wonderful news, that zee is soo close to star, and after such a long time a zee show has become the number one show across all channels

yea Indian audiences, always like drama. but I must say in all of this the performances of all actors has been great. they do a really good job with the dialogues etc.

PR is d best.....Congrats 2 da whole team.....
