He should have understood by now that Archana's family don't care about him, don't care to listen to what he has to say, and certainly don't care about his intentions.
He needs to learn to stop being so nice and naive. It's good to be nice to people, don't get me wrong, but one should also have the capacity to defend themselves when they are required to do so.
I hate how he lets other people tell him what to do. Like the time when Archana came to sign the papers, yes he had to go give the car to the owner, but when he got back, he should have taken her to a corner and talked to her privately, instead of accusing her of crap in front of everybody. I understand that Archu was very VERY pissed off, and understandably so, but all Manav had to do to get the situation under control was yell at everybody to go to their homes, she would have calmed down almost immediately.
As for his mom, he needed to tell her to back off, and not nicely, but with authority. Something like 'BAS MA, mujhe Archana se akele mein baat karni hai'. He should have then taken her to the bedroom, locked the door, and talked in private.
IF he didn't want to do any of that, he could have just interrupted Archu and said that I didn't want to sign the papers, your brother's wife came and told me about you wanting to get married to Satish. She would have stopped with her bhashan right there, and everything would be out in the open. Or he could have said 'Divorce papers to tum ne bheje the na' and she would argue that he sent them, because that's what they were told, and they would have realized that someone was trying to break them up.
Anyways, bottom line..............
Manav IS a fool, because he rambles and says EVERYTHING EXCEPT for the things that can make a difference.
