I was googling Gaurav and Mouni randomly and I found this. I wonder if it's true. I guess if you weren't there it's hard to say, but after watching Gaurav with the teen today and how arrogantly he spoke to Mouni, I have to say there are definitely some red flags coming up about this guy. 😕
I almost saw my child being run over last night…
Published February 26, 2009

Within the so called safe confines of my building compound. Where he was cycling. Where a loutish TV actor drove in at full speed and first squashed a football the older kids were playing with under the wheels of his car. And then stopped, started again and at full speed turned into the parking as my son was almost cycling past. I yelled at him that this was not the way to drive into a building compound. He yelled back that I was no one to teach him how to drive and to watch my son, or next time he might not be so lucky. My hands and feet and entire body were trembling with rage. And I yelled some more. He stalked off saying he had no time for such arguments. His doll faced mouse of a girlfriend mincing behind him. All he needed to do was say, Sorry, that was a mistake. Is your child alright? It wont happen again. I would have been mollified. I would have accepted the apology gracefully. I would have comforted my trembling child and tried to stop myself from trembling.

I called the husband down. They had a man to man talk. With some intimidation. He walked away from the conversation. Many times. I called him back. "Come talk like a man," I yelled. "Why are you running away like a coward?" I had to yell that quite a few times. He then apologised to my husband. Not to me, mind you. It perhaps didnt even occur to him that he needed to apologise to a mother who almost saw her child being run over in front of her eyes.

I pity his girlfriend. A man who doesnt respect women and children is no man to be dating. God help her.

And yes, his name is Gaurav Chopra. He is a small time TV actor I'm told. I have no clue who he is. Other residents filled me in. I dont even want to know about him. All I know is that it is bad karma to take a mother's ill wishes. And that he has got from me in full measure last night.
I dont know what to say...May be he was drunk, when this incident happened....or may be its just a story someone wrote.....i don't know......!!!!! To me, Gaurav has been nice.....though I find his looksarrogant...can't say anything abt behaviour..!!!!

He chats with his fans...if u message him or scrap him..u ll surely reply, whenevr he logs in...!!!!

Abt how he spoke to Mouni, I think coz he didnt like how his teen was looking at her and talking...Gaurav just wanted Mouni to be away frm him...

Don't know Gaurav, I can't really judge him from this show. He seems good with the kids though. I am not sure how he is with Mouni though. He seems lot older than Mouni, that maybe why he is bossy with her.

I think in a way its good Gaurav trys to make sure the kids know 'whose boss' so he's definately good in the disciplinarian aspect. However, he comes off as very egotistical and arrogant and always seems to consider himself superior. To be honest I feel that him and Mouni are only pretending to be together for the sake of this show. Im not one to pass comments on their relationship but just stating my POV that they dont seem very well suited for each other. Perhaps him and Narayani were a better match as I feel Narayani is on the same maturity level as Gaurav. Mouni seems to be too childish herself.
But WOW if that story you've posted is true, then Im totally appalled by his behaviour. I woudnt be surprised if he has pulled something like that, but all the same, thats absolutely ridiculous...
Even Mouni behaves very in a very self-absorbed manner sometime. When she had to change the diaper of Shaurya once, and Gaurav was working....she called on the nurse to lift the baby and coudnt do it herself...and her tone with the nurse was also very domineering...

I think he is very mature and know show to handle things...A man can sense another man's feelings and I guess he didn't get a good vibe from this teen...as for the article above, if its true its sad to hear gaurav's beahvior but you cannot judge by one person's say...you never know what happ and what lead to that incident...

nice posts gals. yes we can just judge him by a blog post. but yes, he lost his cool with the kid only when the kid talked back at him about Gaurav being unorganized. the teenager had come to be like a son, and a son shouldnt talk to the father like that, esp when they r hardly known to eachother. Gaurav is the boss of the house and he made it very clear to him.

Gaurav handled the situation very well when the boy said he had gone through his stuff. he had made it an issue only when the kid started to show off.
and about Mouni, i cant really say anything for sure but i definitely think the director is only hyping it up....editing and esp the sound effects. and he asked Mouni to go up, id rather take it as him not wanting Mouni to be part of the bitter discussion. if u have noticed Mouni didnt even say a proper Hi to the teenager. if she wasnt a part of all the other stuff (like talking abt rules, showing around the house...starting a convo etc etc) then why shud she be a part of a bitter discussion? what was she going to do there...just standing staring at them???Gaurav is hot headed and Mouni darling is too sweet so it might seem as if hez being too rude to her.
Gaurav sure seems to have a short temper...its ok. i do too😆
and i mentioned earlier that he sure is controlling. oh well, that opinion of mine might change. i think it already has...
