It says Wharton is no longer student's 1st priority as their program specializes in finance for Wall street and investment banking. Due to financial crisis these jobs are less and not as attractive any more. Other business school focus has shifted to jobs in technology companies as well.

Indeed Finance is top paid but then it no longer has job security it used to have. May be that's why ppl are re-focusing.

Consulting does pay well, know someone who works in Deloitte after finishing his MBA and am sure making 6 figures from start but he's hardly home !!
