No start date for job yet but last week sent them copies of degree certificate, licence, etc.
State job has more formalities as always.
Due to diwali & all you must be super busy. Also this year won't get as many day offs from work as on Sunday. Hope monday you are off

I can understand that this being a state job, they would do a thorough check... But now-a-days all employers are doing serious background check.

Not just background but whole process is slow. First going through state police, FBI and all.
Then HR lady said still need final approval from all authorities which I am assuming must be 5 depts. 😆
