Ekta and many other promise to deliver women centric shows, but alas even Parichay is no different to this irony.

The righteous bahu...the ever sacrificing one...everybody loves her.

But whenever she says anything against a male member...no one trusts her...in Tulsi's case even after 30 yrs.

But the moment the son of the house says...its golden.

From Kyunki saas to parichay the irony to women centrism continues.

I disagree.. I dont think it was about son or daughter in law. It was in the circumstances in which the two things were said. When Kunal said it, Gaurav had already been caught by media cameras and had been arrested too. Stronger evidence = greater belief. SIMPLE 😊

Even If Gaurav was not caught by Police and Media and Kunal had seen what Siddhi saw and told it to his family members, they would have believed him for sure. So the discrimination between the son and DIL is still evident in this show.

I like Voldermoth, also thought this show to be different and more male oriented, but even this show is following the same path taken by many other BT show in the past. Again today everyone was shown apologizing to the female lead as she is always right and others (including her husband) are fools and brain dead🤢 . This show has also turned into nari-shakti propaganda; BT is so hypocritical😡 this is what they serve us in the name of a male oriented show😲?

I disagree. There is a difference btwn kunal dealing with it in a mature way under favourable circumstance n sid dealing in an immature way in unfavourable circumstances. We also face such situation in nrml life.If it was an old ekta soap like kyunki may b gaurav wud escape evrytime n sid provd wrong all time n come 2 known in nxt generation thru their offsprings.
Parichay is going the rite way n hope kunal chopra tks full responsibility now.

i disagree ... siddhi bwhaved in immanture way and gaurav also denied it and proved his innocence where as here he was in jail and also he didn't deny everything ... if he would have denied and said emotionally everything then things could have been different ...
Raha sawaal siddhi se maafi mangne ka ...
it was obvious they had too ... kunal was behaving rudely to her .. and so was seema ...
even after knowing ones mistake he doesn't apologize its like crime in terms opf family relations ... so i think it was shown correctly ..

Me too disagree ..the reason is if it was a normal EK serial than the woman of the house would have been the one talking , shouting ,scolding and confronting, the men would have just stood still like furniture in the house..but here Raj was the one talking and confronting Gaurav ,veena was crying, even Sidhi and Seema was just standing and watching
I remember in KSBKBT, it was always Tulsi, she was the one who handled everything from investigating rape case, to deciding the punishment, being a doc, nurse , lawyer etc etc.. while Mihir stood like a wall and did nothing..
In parichay again again it has been shown that the men in the family are the one taking control of the sitution when ever it goes out of control unlike other EK serials..be it Raj making kunal aware of his resposibilities of being husband soon after SINAL marriage , discussing the day to day affairs with the family, Kunal taking decion of Raveena being married to Vikram etc ..it has always been the men taking the important decision, sidhi takes a decision and gets her self into trouble and it is kunal bailing her out of the situation,'
And more ver there are no kitchen politics in parichay...MIL, SIL fighing with each other, planning and plotting against each other etc.
surely it is not completely woman oriented and is different from other EK serials

agree with you. Kunal did handle it much better. Even though it could have been portrayed much better, in Siddhi vs. Gaurav, Gaurav did defend himself very-well. Here Kunal was in much better position than Siddhi ever was.

Secondly, unlike Siddhi, Kunal actually went straight to Gaurav and confronted him. He didn't just see something and came back home just to later accuse Gaurav. Before, Gaurav knew what Siddhi has done and prepared his defense. So how Kunal handled it was much better.

Someone else also mentioned it, in home, no female member was saying a word. It was papa Raj confronting Gaurav. We've seen so many time Raj putting his foot down when things go out of control. It is either Raj or Kunal who make final decision. The very fact that mother-in-law wasn't much useful for so long was also very good.

Yes they do have to give some importance to female characters, otherwise it's not realistic at all. But I don't think it was believing son vs. daughter-in-law.

I guess you didn't understand what I was trying to say above? What I meant by saying that I didn't like everyone apologizing to Siddhi was that CVs shouldn't have created a scenario where Kunal had to apologize to her at the first place. He should have been shown trusting her even if it was not to a great extent to do some background check on Gaurav instead of completely shutting off Siddhi and saying what she saw was completely wrong.

They could have shown him assuring Siddhi that he will do the investigation from his side and wants her to stay home as she is preggy and brought out the truth. This way they didn't have to show him one track minded person and didn't have to show him apologizing at the end of it all. CVs could have dealt with this EMA track much better, but in the name of nari-shakto, they always end up making Kunal look fool and brain dead which I personally don't like at all.

About Chopra family trusting Kunal's words over Siddhi's, I still stand by it - Had Kunal seen what Siddhi saw (Gaurav being intimate with that girl) and told the family about it, they would have believed him no matter what Gaurav had to say.

I am not blaming the characters or the actors as they are only doing what they are told to do, but have big complains from the writers and CVs who always show the climex of a track which makes Kunal look stupid.
