Loved the movies that had begali background a lot, Devdaas, Parineeta, etc

I couldn't agree more Rani, they are so beautfil...if you ever get a chance , visit their durga puja pandals..so nice and colorful..i too agree, loved parineeta..
and bengali langauge is also so sweet, even if someone is scolding you the words are so soft and sweet..

they say its the sweetest language in the world..khub mishty=- very sweet..

yup Rani, but bengali women wear all other attires also. White sari , red border is used like identity of bengalis in every hindi movie. You should watch kahani now, as it showed my city. 😃

That red thing is called alta in bengali, sindoor, bangles and all that are symbol of marriage.

When I was little until I turned 6, I was in India and remember going to Durga Pooja pandal with my parents. It was beautiful. Haven't seen any in US, but it looks beautiful in movies. Agree, the language is also very sweet and beautiful. Okay I have seen one Bengali movie actually, but with the subtitles, Choker Bali with Aishwarya Rai in it. It was based on Tagor's novel I think, it was a beautiful movie.

You know, I have been dying to watch Kahani movie, will definitely watch it this weekend. I hear it's one of the best movies to come out in recent time. Waise Vidya Balan looks more Bengali to me than a malayali 😛

Oh oaky it's called Alta, thanks for telling me. But I love their suhagan look a lot. They define married women the best😳
