There was a point of time when Parichay Sound Department experimented a lot with background score and well.. failed at it! Sometimes i was in splits as the drama going on screen would be romantic or emotional but the background score was that of comedy.
but from the consummation episode onward there is a definite change. Someone, a huge fan of either Sanjay Leela Bhansali or Devdas has taken over.😉 The score everytime Siddhi runs is from the last scene of Devdas and while it was good the first time they played it, now it doesnt suit the scenes as we are past consummation and all that jazz! 😆
but there is one background score that makes me give them full marks! Its the chant they play when Siddhi does something mahan😆
The mantra is following:
Karyeshu Mantri, Karuneshu Dasi
Rupeshu Lakshmi, Kshameshu Dharitri
Sneheshu Mata, Shayaneshu Rambha
Shatkarma Nari, Kul Dharma Patni..
This translates into,
An ideal wife is the one who is as smart and intelligent as an adviser, as dutiful as servant, as beautiful as the goddess of wealth, as forgiving as earth, as caring as a mother and finally as promising in bed as a nymph. These six qualities make a woman, an ideal and lawful wife!
Siddhi (by the grace of the consummation😆) now fits the bill completely. She has each one of these qualities so when it plays for her, i actually have goosebumps..
This mantra was chanted in my wedding as well.. my priest had specifically explained this to me..and hubby dear laughed at my squirming as the priest talked about the last part.. 😆😆
those chants take me back to that one moment when i was told of my responsibilities and Kunal promised silently that he would be there to help... 😳😳
