I kind of have different view on this, Kunal feeling guilty for either of the 2 reasons you mentioned is justifiable. He had seen Anand and Siddhi's love story since the beginning and he knew how much Anand loved her. No matter when consummation happened, this guilt would have surfaced inside him and it's very natural, whether it happened on Anand's barasi or some other time.

But the important thing is that with time he should come out of this guilt and accept that Siddhi is now his wife. What will really help him to move on is Siddhi telling him that she loves him now. Hope we get to see this happening on their wedding anniversary this weekend.
