When Dhara cries, the audience trolls her orgasmic expressions 🤗🤗🤗🤗 no one relates to Dhara! Kitna bhi karlo "Surf-excel daag ache hai" no one will ever relate to her character. She'll forever remain a vamp who does pagalpan and hovers over her devars
When Raavi cries, the audience feels her pain.
The main problem with giving bhabhi any amount of emotional scenes, apart from the fact that leadben is an awful actress, is that she doesn't connect with the masses. She has never had to fight for her place in the family. She was given that place on a silver platter. All 3 of her devars welcomed her with open arms, Gaumbi was a PC long before his mother used that name, and there was nobody to tell her to do things otherwise because it was her house. Suman had a problem with her but Suman couldn't do anything because her sons would side with bhabhi over their own mother. There has been no obstacle that she has had to fight, so the audience can't root for her. She gets what she wants and doesn't have to work for it, that is not interesting for the audience to see or root for. Going by the definition of an ITV FL, she doesn't fit the criteria but by constantly pushing her in every frame and story the audience has gotten annoyed with her.
Also, I know some people (4×4 fans) will say that bhabhi didn't have a baby so she could look after her devars, that was her own choice. She made that decision, it was her decision, that is not an obstacle that she has to overcome because that would be playing the victim of her own decision and I am not here for that. You can't play the victim of your own choices because nobody forced her to make that decision, she did it all on her own.
All the other FLs you mentioned have had so many obstacles and struggles that they have needed to fight with and the audience want to see them fight those obstacles and come out victorious, the audience root for those characters. Raavi is the character the audience connects with and they root for her constantly because the audience can see she is being treated unfairly and want her to fight and win. Going by the definition of an ITV FL, Raavi fits the criteria to the T.
