I just realized that all the drama from Raavi getting insulted to her showdown with Dhara to them playing cards all happened in one day, with the ShiVi bits thrown in. It's so weird and a little overwhelming to think of from Raavi's narrative perspective...

She starts off the day complaining about Shiva, cuts her finger and checks him out, rebukes him, gets verbally assaulted and breaks down, has a moment with Shiva, rebukes him again, goes off on Dhara and leaves upset and then we see her introspect a bit. That was the emotional bit of her day.

After this sequence we see her spying on Krish and Shiva, fighting with Shiva and having a couple of cute, meaningful moments with Krish. Cutesy nokjhok with a bit of lingering emotion from earlier. She then has her rooftop moment with Shiva (first glimpse of the return of Raavi 1.0, adorable) and receives a genuine sorry from Rishita. She then proceeds to bust Krish, followed by getting duped by dramebaaz Shiva and then tattling it all to Dhara. After a mini investigation ft Dhara Di, she's comfortably sitting around playing cards with Dhara and Rishita, her only worry being Shiva's reaction to her tattling.

First of all, PHEW. That's one heck of an eventful day, and it's still only late afternoon at most. Poor Raavi, waging her way through a personal tornado of emotions.

And how is it that she goes from emotional outbursts at Dhara and Shiva punctuated by a whole lot of underlying baggage, to suddenly being chummy with both of them? We might not find it out of place since the episodes are so stretched out, but if you look at it from Raavi's pov, it's only been an hour or two at most since all the intense stuff went down. I still get her behaviour with Shiva - she's been hot and cold with him all day - but it was kinda odd to see Dhara and her acting like they weren't bawling their eyes out and being vulnerable with each other half an hour ago.

Perhaps her quick shift might be due to her finally having let out all that suppressed frustration and anger, and having had a moment of introspection along with that bit of golden advise from Krish. She's looking to be her old self again, trying to take conscious baby steps back to the eternally optimistic princess Raavi used to be. Raavi being Raavi, wouldn't hold on to stuff once she's made up her mind.

Also, if you think about it, Shiva has been super patient with her throughout the day - poor guy got the brunt of her misplaced anger and hurt, and he doesn't even know what's caused all of it, yet he's being amicable. Even after getting snubbed by her multiple times, he's still focused on her. Perfect hubby behaviour for someone who claims to be her No 1 Dushman. Can you stop being so cute, Shiva?

Gaumbi slapping Krish was bad. I want to focus on what Rishita was saying about money. I agree with her a 100%

I get they all want to be Hum Saath Saath Hain types but financial independence is very important.

The way Krish, ShiVi, Dhara were looking at Rishita was weird. I’m no fan of Rishita but I agreed with her a 100%.

She raised a valid point but the attitude takes away from what’s important.

Edited:

Raavi, an educated girl has no money. What’s the point of it all. I don’t get it.

Definitely, I agree with everything Rishita puts forth (other than her mera Dev bs). However, she has no idea how to talk to people without being insensitive. In real life, what you say can often be misinterpreted or understated by how you say it.

The Pandya family is pretty orthodox in a lot of aspects despite valuing matters like education. Krish, Shiva and Raavi looked at her that way because they're just used to the way things are. I hope Rishita can grow a head and learn how to read a room, speak firmly but politely and see life forms beyond Mera Dev. She would be a good device of change in the family, especially when they're all willing to listen even if they don't necessarily share the same opinions or lifestyle.

felt like pandya parivaar was living in some 80s..even dhara was educated. I get the joint family money pooling stuff but everyone has to have independence no. Matlad kal ko if someone feels like eating paani puri, then they’ll go and ask dhara di is it and dhara being dhara will give class on why it is not healthy

That’s degrading actually, having to ask for money for every small thing. That was a big lesson there but the maker’s decided to focus on the stupid slap drama.

And the day is not over yet😆

I hope it comes up again. Dev, Shiva need to be paid for their work at the store. They can spend that money however they choose to, give to Rishita and Raavi respectively!

I am still ok with Krish getting only an allowance as ge is still 18, going to college and doesn’t work that much in the store.

i simply don’t like others touching my money nor asking others.

But my personal life has little bit of this going on. I live with my husband and the kids away from India. We have a bank account and a rental income too. My Jet, who lives in the US like us, doesn’t have any account in India. So when he goes to India, doesn’t let my husband know, withdraws money from our account for his personal use, as my MIL is a joint account holder and will pay back later only when MIL reminds him This has been going on for years. I got tired of asking this to my husband as he doesn’t want to say anything to his older brother. That is one thing I don’t like about my Jet, otherwise he is an awesome guy.
My inlaws family is a lot like Pandya parivar😆, 3 boys except the Saas is super understanding, doesn’t say a word against DILs except I am Dhara/Raavi combination, my husband is a combination of Dev( polished)/Shiva (loves his parents/brothers so much, will stand up for them amongst the extended family). So his extrnded family likes me more than him. My jet is like Gaumbi, Bhabi is like Rishita as it took years for her to gel with the family,

I can confidently say my Devar is no Krish. I miss a Krish in our family.

Rishita has very valid points! Financial independence is so key, and this should've been discussed way before Dev or Shiva even got married. They expected only Raavi to get married into the house, someone who wouldn't have even questioned the financial arrangements at all. They obviously expected Raavi to be okay with it all too. Do they expect the brothers to be 50years old and still ask for money from their bhabi? It's embarrassing, but it's humiliating for the wives! Imagine they need money for whatever reason, there's going to be so many questions asked.

As they live together they should have some family money that go towards household expenses but then they all should have their own money too. The brothers should be able to spend as they see fit with input from their wives, they should be able to save for their future with their wives (not just as pandya family) and the wives should be able to ask their husbands for money. Learning about money and how to deal with it is such an important lesson in life.

Rishita just comes across so wrong. She's only been married for 5days...and she's argued about everything and anything. All the changes won't just occur in one day. She should have brought this up another day, in a calm manner because she's not wrong.

I have doubts on why she brought it up. If Dev and Shiva do have financial independence, is she going to think Dev deserves more somehow? I wouldn't be surprised.
