I think that is exactly the point. People make assumptions and stereotype others, especially since they behave a certain way since childhood. That might be true even of us. I wonder how many assumptions we make of our cousins etc. based on childhood experiences, which no longer hold true. When you interact outside the family environment, you are surprised when others see them in a different light.
It is kind of easy to judge when we are seeing things from a third person perspective (that is why strangers or friends sometimes understand us better than family/relatives). Raavi has grown up with Maami and Anita, who have been spouting nonsense about Shiva from day 1. It does not help that Shiva was constantly pushing her away.
The beauty of the journey is that as Raavi stays with Shiva and sees him handling responsibilities and resolving issues, her misconceptions will get stripped one by one.She will become Shiva’s biggest advocate 🙂
In real life, there are lot of unfair things. People do get bullied, called wrong things. Take it with a pinch of salt. Shiva and Raavi need to figure out how to grow together despite these insults and misconceptions, not without them.
