Yay!! Dastak deserves it. Clearly best show on air. Glad that even with slot change it got good ratings.

Dastak accha drama hai par usme jo forced marriage dikhayi gayi hai na wo real world me aajkal hota nahi hai, especially urban areas me. Aajkal girl ki marzi poochi jaati hai ke shadi karni hai ya nahi ya ladka pasand hai ya nahi.

Even now, in a lot of middle class households with fathers like that marriages happen that way. We even now hear more than enough stories of girls being forced into marriages and guys breaking relationships of years to get married to maa ki.pasand ki ladki. If this can happen in urban cities on India, it can definitely happen in Pakistan.

Dastak used to get double-digit TRPs before Ramadan. I remember it got a 14.6 once even. Parvarish also got TRP in the 8s on Mon-Tue though this slot used to be a very high TRP slot for ARY. I'm kinda mad at ARY for switching its drama timings in Ramadan. JPL does well but much lower than the TRPs ARY dramas were getting before Ramadan. I know many fams not interested in JPL who switched to Geo or Hum during Ramadan. As a result, after Ramadan, that huge edge that ARY had in its Mon-Tue and Thu-Fri timeslots has reduced somewhat and shows that would have gotten double digit TRPs easily before Ramadan are now getting TRPs in 8s and 9s. Let's see if ARY can built back that edge or not?

India me har saal around 30000 cases forced marriages ke aate hai usme se lagbhag sabhi cases Abduction, kidnapping, human trafficking ya child marriages ke hote hai. Dastak drame ki tarah Adult ke forced arranged marriages ke cases kam hi dekhne ko milte hai.
