Thank you so much, I really want to give him a chance, I agree he is a fantastic actor, for me he is one of the best Pak TV actors ever. I really hope he gets to do another show with Yumna, I feel their chemistry is to die for. There is something about both of them together. Vaise he was superb with Saba Q too.

Saba and Zahid are my favourite Pakistani actors. I'll definitely try watching Besharam for them. ❤️

OMG YOU have to watch Besharam it’s a fantastically written show. And the two power house talents elevate the show to another level

Ok I have a question - how is it that Uzmi can give it back to Zaki but when it comes to her own fiance, she is like a deer in headlights. This selective helplessness I am a little confused of.

is it class difference or conditioning or both?

Also, why is she unable to tell her mother that she would like to wait, that she isn’t comfortable with Fardeen’s forceful nature.

That said, I do think they have done a good job of showing a girl can be outgoing and yet uncomfortable when it comes to certain things. In many ways, she is relying on her instincts and that’s why the back and forth in her mind. She is actually not a simpleton, but a thinking girl trusting her instincts- she is unable to express this properly. Because everyone will blame her ….for being unreasonable which she says she is being unfairly put in that box. This angst which is very real is shown very well.

There is a quote: "Every relationship is fundamentally a power struggle, and the individual in power is whoever likes the other person less." I've seen so many examples of this power struggle in my real life. I've seen that whichever person can leave the other person rules a relationship and whichever is afraid that the other person will leave him/her becomes the victim of emotional manipulation.

In this drama, Uzmi loves Fardeen, who keeps threatening her of leaving and she surrenders to his demands because she don't wanna lost him. In Zaki's case, she has no feelings for him and doesn't care at all how will he react to whatever she does to him. That's why the selective helplessness..

One thing I really appreciate about this show is that they didn’t make Fardeen grey in any way. It is very very clear that his advances are not comfortable that even within the scope of engagement, nikkah he has no right to be this way and if the girl feels uncomfortable at any point, she is right to do so,

Had we not got that cheesy bg music and her cringing away from him, we would have had audiences who would be on the fence with Fardeen. I think the makers did a very smart thing

At no point have I felt for him. How whole - she is an idiot, look what she made me do, I love her, jaan ho meri, I hate her, ….all of that did not make me feel anything for him, all I thought was jaan chute but I also realize he is now going to go into revenge mode

Him callin her sadist and then triple talaking her is essentially where the story begins. I will be slightly disappointed if all she does is cry now. She should go ballistic but state how his behavior was incorrect

Promo made me facepalm. So he has decided to take his revenge by marrying her and she goes ahead with it,

Ok I am going to say it Zaki deserves better, but we know that already. He is so good in his love for her, he isn’t a bechara wilted flower. He isn’t a spineless fool in love, he knows he loves her but he also puts her in her place. He isn’t blind in love. He is the true hero… just love how the writers have written him and Zahid is hitting a complete sixer with his acting.

It is not just instincts. It is the moral code of this family. Her mother has no idea the nature of Fardeen's demands. She thinks that Fardeen just wants to talk on the phone and hang out with her, and she's okay with this. As for her views regarding, any sort of sexual relationship, they established it in the very first episode that she's strictly against them. Uzmi is also likeminded so there's no clash in what's right and what's wrong between mother and daughter, its just that the mother doesn't know everything so she insist her to be nice with Fardeen.

Yes, the execution is good, the subject is both interesting and important, and the acting is on-point, especially Kinza and Azfu.
