yes, I call him dumb because Mahi and now everyone called him dumb, but as you have said, he is really gullible, like it is really sad and surprising that he is just so saaf dil ke he never saw anything rubbing against his odds, and now everything backfired, he lost his innocence and naivety too.

The biggest proof of his gullible nature was when he questioned Mahi that 'Am I actually day dreaming'? Dil toota mera wahape, people thought he was being egoistic, but no he genuinely believed that Mahi has feelings, sighs

He isnt dumb.. Had he been dumb, he wouldve returned home after heartbreak ..

He is naive & gullible (as I said) .. so saaf dil ., that when the heart broke .. he lost all his motivation towards life .. she motivated him to want to come to work and do things with his life .. Her leading him on was using his gullibility (not sure such word exists) .. and hence he daydreamed .. when that dream broke, it broke him too ..

thats when he realized how badly he was used by the so called 'amir log' .. sare bharam tute .. and he lost faith in love & life ..

when something so close to your heart, your passion breaks .. it breaks you .. and it is very hard to get up (mind you you are alone in this journey, standing, falling, getting up, walking, etc..) and begin looking towards life again .. yahan to usne na hi uska dil, passion, confidence .. sara ka sara usse tod diya .. how is such a man supposed to pick up pieces and walk towards life again ..

So, he isnt dumb.. He is just a nek allah ka banda .. jo ab allah ke liye chalega/jiyega

I liked it how they focused on the fact that along with his heart, even his delusion of all people are good, or even all rich people are good has been broken too. A human being's biggest weakness is low self confidence and delusion, even though Feedi was always confident, his delusion about seeing everything white was what made him unique and equally vulnerable, now since that is broken, obviously he will not behave how he used to, and I hope the change in him plays out well, we hardly get to see such characters onscreen though.
