Yeah that's fine. We just believe that in life such things are predetermined. Going by the show though, I doubt Rubab and Zaheer would ever have gotten married regardless. Zaheer was completely against it from the very beginning, he would have wriggled his way out the same way, by marrying Rukhsana since she was always there.

It also assumes about Hatim's character. Would any relationship he would be involved in before the accident have lasted? His friend has always accused him of liking beautiful girls and with his family background I don't know if he would have considered marriage. So I think he probably would have found a way to sabotage any relationship- which he kind of did with Ramsha as well, he went full nuclear when there was the slightest hint of doubt. Hatim's experienced a lot of growth since the tragedy. I thought the scene where he followed Rubab immediately after yelling at her was interesting because I don't think old Hatim would have done that. He's learnt some hard lessons.

I guess one thing that I struggle with in this drama is that I think because we see Ramsha mostly through Rubab's eyes- I don't always know how to interpret things because Rubab romantices things her beloved sister says. Ramsha told Rubab she was in love with someone else- which was a lie just to manipulate her to marry Zaheer. And Rubab's built a whole city with those bricks. Everyone lied about the fact that there was a work meeting- so Rubab assumes she went to meet her lover and she was very happy which completely ignores that she was sitting mayoon and would a sister like Ramsha ditch that to go on a date? And she was probably happy because her sister was getting married. And similarly with that scene from yesterday that I whined about earlier- is Ramsha talking about someone specifically when she talks about being in prisons of love or is she just generalising? Rubab's assuming that it's about the mystery man-but we know that was just fiction.

and yes, Rubab and Hatim were destined to be together. Ramsha was just a catalyst to introduce them to each other.

Yup Hatim's character was well established but we also saw his capacity for understanding and his capacity to love when we were shown the scenes with the beggars and the kitten. Then we saw his capacity for change when he was willing to listen to Ramsha and reached out to his mother. You never know when someone will get through to you and it doesn't have to be a close one or a lover. It can be anyone and something just clicks in your brain. Hatim always had it in him to become the man he was always supposed to be. Accepting his mother's love and having positive influences in his life like Ramsha would have changed him even if Ramsha lived because he was already changing as it is. Even if she didn't die, the cheque would have still reached him the next day and he would finally trust her completely. He would probably go on to meet her family somehow and become an understanding man by seeing their familial bond and grounded lifestyle.

Rubab's romanticizing of her sister is gonna lead to a lot of problems because like you said, there was never a man but to Rubab that man is going to be Hatim. Ramsha was a very human character but I feel like at times she was unfair to her sister. Like you said, she basically manipulated her sister in agreeing to marry a man she did not want to marry by lying to her. How would have Rubab felt if she did get married and found out later that there never was a man in Ramsha's life? Rubab had even said that my sister has done so much for us, the least I could do was marry Zaheer so api can be with the man she loves.

The prisons of love statement for me was very general. Ramsha was older, wiser and more experienced in life so she understood such emotions and nuances. Ramsha was making a general statement about love and we have no idea when that flashback actually occurred. For all we know, that could have occurred way before Ramsha even met Hatim. I actually thought that this flashback was from a time before Hatim. Love comes in many forms and can be between anyone, it doesn't have to be romantic love. I didn't read any deeper meaning into it then just her birds loving her and willing to stay in that cage for her love. It's like how dogs love their humans immensely. Ramsha and Hatim were starting to gain an understanding and becoming friends with a slight attraction. At no point did Ramsha even hint at being in love with Hatim but we did see her feelings in regards to Zaheer. She definitely really liked Zaheer. Hatim only ever really hinted at a growing friendship and a slight attraction. If he ever liked her or loved her then we are yet to see that revelation from him and that will be in the next few episodes (if that's the case).
