She couldnt even act in BM

To be fair, it was one of her first shows and the part was horribly underwritten. All she was made to do was sob and witness basher doing his crazy act. I never knew what she felt about things. Even Basher's sisters' parts were better written. And to be fair, even FQ was kinda over the top in many of the initial episodes. I think the direction and writing were very underdone for such a hyped show. From what I have seen of US and FQ, they both seem to need well-written parts to shine (US more so than FQ). Actors who can add their own nuances to a character to make it more believable and likable are few and far between. I mean, even someone as estimable as Ushman Perzada can produce a one-note performance with an ill-written part (case in point, his character in the drama Seep. In a sea of greatly written and enacted performances, he sticks out like a sore thumb in that show). And Usman Peerzada clearly is a masterful performer by any stretch of the imagination.

Well, Faysal has acted with Iqra Aziz and other young girls too. There are many old guys in the industry, but this is how it works. Plus the thing is Faysal is a character actor, he can look fine even with young girls. When people watch a drama they don't keep the age of actor in mind rather they get involved in the character. That is my opinion.

That is an interesting opinion. But for me, the age of the actors seems to matter and esp in romantic stories. I can love watching Tom Hanks romance Meg Ryan but I feel completely unaffected by any movie, no matter how good, in which Tom is romancing a 20-something Blake Lively.

I prefer evenly matched romantic leads. For example, Agha Ali and Naveen or Emmad and Naveen would be a perfect romantic pair to me. But FQ with Madiha or Iqra or Sara Khan or Nouman with Sarah Khan o Aijz Aslam with Sarah Khan made me throw up in annoyance and disgust. So, yes, there is the element of subjectivity here. I just wish the makers would mix it up a bit: for every show where the heroine was 20 or more years younger than the hero, they'd also make a show where the two leads were evenly matched in ages. But they rarely seem to do that which really seems unfair to me. Thanks for the comment :-)

FQ can still play lead roles. it doesn't matter if he is not romancing a girl half his age . he can play lead in different stories. though I still feel he has it in him to play romantic lead . just watch him with Aliya (Pari) in Khalish . I don't know if anyone agrees with me, but the way he came close to her in last epi gave me goosebumps. 😳

Aijaz aslam looks super duper old and should just retire in my opinion. No matter what character, what drama.. He is Aijaz all the time.

Nauman is good in fatherly uncle-rly roles. I could not imagine him doing thr lead roles that FQ does but he is a good character actor. I can overlook Nauman the person and can see the character.

I really like FQ and am convinced of every character he plays on screen. Off late i have not seen him play roles that young and he plays mature characters which suit him. Actresses cast against him is another topic now. He looked so good with Sarwat than Madiha in zakhm. Naveen looked good but Iqra was odd. Ushna wasn't bad either. Sajal and Saboor.. Naah.
(i hate Saboor with anyonr and everyone I just hate her expressions and dialog delivery 😃)

Dont stop giving FQ lead roles pls.. Im not done enjoying his performances yet. 👏

@Stardust . I think you should give Saboor a chance. She acts in different dramas, does all kind of roles. she isn't that kind of beauty which catch your interest from first look, but she grows on me. I like her ordinary look, her dialogue delivery seems real, not fake.. and she gives her 100 percent to each role she does. she may not be the best of actresses , but I like her . she's versatile.
