Anhoni -- 'Tape Recorder'

I forgot all the names so i'm gona make up the names of characters

Amir Bhai -- the only brother of the sisters

Bella -- Younger sis

Sumaira -- Eldest one

Hammad -- Cousin

Baba Ji -- the only servent in the house

Sumaira is ill, she is in her bedroom and Amir is upsaitrs in a dark room and is reading books on "Jinnat" (spirits/ghosts). Bella is downstiars cooking and someone rings the door bell.

Baba ji opens the door and its Hammad who is in Army now as he finished his studies just a month ago and works as an Army officer. he lives in Karachi.

Bella sees him and is happy, Hammad meets her and goes up stiars to meet Amir. Baba ji tells hammad that Amir is not doing any good to his sisters. But before they could go to Amir's room they hear voices from Sumaira's room.

Bella, hammad, Baba Ji runs towards Sumaira's room and Amir too comes after a minute. He says its all "jinatts" work, thyy are making my sisters condition worse. Hammad is shocked as Amir tells Bella to give Sumaira some water and not take her to hospital but then after sometime Sumaira is fine and then Amir leads Hammad way to his room.

There, before Hammad could make him understand anything, Amir asks him if he has brought tape recorder and casette with him. Hammad asks him why does he need this tape. Amir says i wanna know the "Grave's secret" and when someone will die i'll put this recorder next to his/her dead body and its gona record everything and then i'm gona listen to it.

Hammad is confused and feels awkward giving him the recorder and casette as Hammad thinks its wrong to interfere in how things are going on and on for ages. Hammad then asks him who is dying and Amir replies without any hesitation and seriously that no one is but if he doesnt find anyone he can kill Hammad as well. Hammad is taken aback but then he takes it as a joke.

Next day, bella and Hammad meet in the living room and he tells her that this time he will go only after getting married to her. Bella says but first Sumaira appi's gona get married and Hammad frustratingly says that how come she will get married as her brother only is ruining her life. She needs medical treatment and not the water and stuff. Amir who is recording it upstiars hears it and feels bad. Sumaira is upstairs listening to their talk without them knowing feels really sad and goes in her room. She looks at herself in the mirror and Hammad's voice is in the background that who will marry her. She is so depressed that when she goes on the roof, she gets the attack again and falls from there. Hammad and Bella both are Shokced to see Summaira dead.

but late in night they go to graveyard and Amir without anyone knowing puts the tape recorder near Sumaira's face and they put her body in the grave.

Everyone's gone but Hammad is forced to stay with Amir in the graveyard to take out the recorder after two hours as the casette was 2 hours long.

After 2 hours as soon Amir digs up Sumaira's grave he is shocked and frightened as Sumaira's face is filled with blood and Kafan too is not on her face. Hammad is scared but then Amir quickly takes out the recorder and puts the mud back on the grave.

They both are standing near the grave looking at each other and Sumaira's voice is in the background "Bhaiya give it back to me, dont take it with you, give the casette back to me, it will be no good for you neither for me" But Amir and Hammad run from there and after reasing home, hammad tells him he wont listen to the casette and Amir can is he wants to.

Amir is in his room and is listening to the casette, he is all in tears, shocked and scared then throws the recorder away.

next morning, Babaji comes and tells Bella and Hammad that Amir is missing from early morning. Hammad and Bella search for him the whole house but in vain.

Hammad then says i might know where he must be. They all then go to Graveyard and see Amir sitting next to Sumaira's grave. he is crying very badly and is behaving as if he has gone mad.

When Hammad comes he gives him the casette saying i couldnt save my sister. bella and Baba ji think he means the other way but Hammad is confused and when bella and Baba ji leave for home, Hammad turns on the recorder and listens to the recorded casette.

It has Sumaira's voice calling for help as if she is in real pain, her voice was so painful that Hammad got scared too and started crying. then he takes out the black thing from the casette and breaks the casette.

In the end, AMir is shown walking barefoot in desert, it looked like as if he is mentally ill.

This was the first episode of Anhoni i watched on PTV Prime. I really liked it so thought of sharing with you guys. hope you like it.

My mom told me that when the casettes and tape recorders were first invented people did same thing just to know the secret of grave and whenever anyone used to play it, the casette gets blasted and no one could ever come to know the secret.

Thankfully people have stopped this act. Allah kay kamoon main interfere nahin karna chahiye warna anjaam acha nahin hota.
