independence day ..

Assalam o alaykum !

Just another day
a day for fireworks
for gathering with friends
a day off work
a day to sit and just do nothing
or is it something more?
a special meaning, hidden by the festivities?
not just another day
but a day of freedom
a day to remember the struggles
a day to remember the blood shed
so you can sit and drink that beer
with all your loved ones surrounding you
and somehow you managed to forget
what your country went through
years ago with you in mind
this independence day don't forget
just what you all came together to remember
lets make a toast to the people
who got us where we are today
and as the final sparks fall
lets make a wish for strength of a country
so our kids and grandkids
can celebrate this day
many years from now

and rules from your friends.

While we listen to them

we hardly ever take the time

to listen to ourselves.

Now its time to grow up

and in doing so

it becomes time for us

to listen to our own hearts

and in our hearts

we find the true meaning of independence.

i stand for God, my principles true

that my children can feel no dismay

for my people at home whose needs be dire

fight ye patriot fight
spread throughtou the world America\'s light

from revolutionary to civil wars

Happy 60 independence day to everyone … May pakistan trully enjoy prosperity from the day forward … and I strongly believe though our elders have tried their best to loot as much from it as possible … (i'm talking about the majority … if not all) … still young generation can do wonders … they are true and straight forward in their dalings … hoping to see a Prosperous Country in forward … 59 years are enough to adopt a track … !!!!

May Allah be with us … and May Allah be with Pakistan … and May all dreams of quaid come true one day … A country free of inner conflicts … may this 14th august fervour remains so all year and all our lives …!
