Is it possible that Lala and his people might have not once but repeatedly given Sid wrong information about Peshawar attacks .. The terrorist groups often give limited access to internet to its followers and they can only access that much amount of information, as intended by the leaders of these groups.. May be the Quran also that was given to Sid was not the real Quran but a manipulated version of it by Lala..
While religion and the concept of Jannat can be used to brainwash the uneducated people like Yusuf, it cannot be used as a weapon to brainwash a person like Siddhant Thakur because he didn't believe in religion at first place.. So, may be Lala used humanity, his humanity.. He was a very soft hearted and compassionate human being, we all would agree to..
Death always bring sorrow and pain with it... But we tend to feel more shattered when a child dies than when an adult dies.. May be because children are more fragile and innocent.. And in case of a person like Siddhant, its quite a possibility that he became completely broke down. With Hussain a part of Siddhant died too.
He said he is not doing it only for Hussain but also for Rohan who gets afraid on hearing about the attack on school.. According to him Thadani and Govind Mehta were responsible for the attacks.. He did not want unnecessary bloodshed but only to a point till his demands were getting fulfilled.. In his viewpoint he was saving kids like Hussain and Rohan being attacked in future ... The life of people captured in the hospital mattered because a part of Siddhant was still there in him but it did not matter more than his maqsad, the maqsad of preventing kids from becoming a prey in the hands of Thaddani's hunger of money and power ( of course, in his POV which was certainly not the reality ).. In the continuous tussle between Siddhant Thakur and Sadiq, Siddhant Thakur lost... ðŸ˜
However, that still remains a question as to why he did not try to gain information post his return to India.. May be he had lost all his sanity by then.. I feel compassion, which is a very beautiful quality in normal human beings, in Siddhant's case, this trait was played by Lala, fueled by wrong information and his spirit to die without flinching for the good of the people was given an absolutely wrong direction... So in his POV, he was still dying for humanity but it was actually not humanity..
I don't know what I have written makes any sense or not 😆 , but since things have been left for us to interpret, this is what I ended up concluding based on what little that was shown.. 😈
