The reality show will have a mix of celeb and non-celeb contestants

The new season of Endemol's reality show Bigg Boss is going to be quite different from the first one. It is learnt that Bigg Boss will have non-celebrity contestants as well.

Says a source, "Endemol is in talks with Sony to discuss the probability of having non-celebrity contestants as well. They want to make the show more interesting and play on the reality card as much as possible. There will be an equal number of celebrity contestants to balance out the non-celebs."

Rajesh Kamat, MD, Endemol refuses to share too many details. "We are in talks with the channel. But it's too early to confirm anything at this stage."

Different personality

The source adds that the idea to rope in common folks came from the production house's side. "They will be holding auditions where a panel will select a certain number of people eligible to participate. There will be further eliminations to zero down on the actual contestants who will then make it to the house," adds the source.

The criteria for the selection will be strictly based on interesting traits of the contestants.

"The show is all about putting people will different personalities under one roof. So, the panel will look out for individuals who have something in them that will capture the viewers' attention. There are discussions going on to figure out what the criteria would be," explains the source.
Sources reveal the show will go on air in the first quarter of 2008.

Honestly, watching celebrities are much more fun. I would love to see Mika and Urmila in Bigg Boss 2.

mika's going to be there?? lol then i'd definitly watch it. can't wait to see big boss 2, but i wish it would start this friday instead of k for kishore 🤢 especially since jhalak's over 😭 .
