Iqbal Khan is back on the small screen after marriage and a six-month break, with Chhuna Hai Aasmaan, a sequel to Saara Akash

Miditech, the production house, which made Saara Akash a few years ago, is all set to come up with a sequel to the show titled Chhuna Hai Aasmaan. Iqbal Khan has been roped in to play the lead in the show. He will be seen playing an air force officer. This will be Iqbal Khan's first sightings, ever since he took a break of six months.

Iqbal confirms the news. He says, "I can't talk much about this new show since I have signed a contract with the production house. The channel has planned its own strategies of putting the show on air. All I can say is that I will sport a different look in the show. I agreed to the show as it seemed very different from what I have done before. I am looking forward to being a part of the show. In fact, I have already started doing my homework."

Says a source, "The show will have the same Air Force backdrop as in Saara Akash. But this time around the show will have different characters, fresh tracks and it will surely be more youthful. Iqbal is the perfect actor to play an Air Force officer. Chhuna Hai Aasmaan will also have Daljeet Kaur (best remembered as the lead in Kulvaddhu) besides two more fresh faces. Chhuna Hai Asmaan will revolve around relationships, trials and tribulations in the lives of the people in the Air Force."

The show will be shot in Mumbai and Pune and is likely to go on air in September.

What was Saara Akaash about?
Saara Akaash was based on the lives and dreams of pilots in the Indian Air Force. The story relvolved around an Air Force base under the command of Air Commodore AOC Suraj Singh played by Kiran Kumar. His daughter, an ambitious Air Force cargo pilot was played by Sai Deodhar. Parmeet Sethi played a senior officer at the base while young officers were played by flight lieutenant Vikram Kochar played by Shakti Anand, Karan Singh Rathore (Anuj Saxena), Saurav Singh (Manish Goel) and Jatin Gohil (Manav Gohil) respectively. The serial was full of live action built in and around Jaguars and MIG aircrafts.

is daljeet opposite iqqu i know the serial is action packed but theres always romance galore in all serials regardless of type of serial 😉

i don't think that iq would take the offer of the role if they were going to do that since he himself is a muslim 😊 thanks for sharing!!!
