Synopsis

Beginning 14 January 2008, (X will give Indian homemakers even more reasons to rejoice with the all new engaging family drama Veeranwali which will air Mondays To Thursday at 1:30 pm on the channel's Afternoon Band. Veeranwali is set to captures the viewers' hearts with its engrossing story. Veeranwali is a touching drama which revolves around the strong bond and beautiful relationship between a sister and her two brothers. It describes the journey of a family through all the hardships of life. This emotional series will offer viewers of 9X the right dose of drama, ethos and emotion. Produced by Creative Eye, Veerwanwali is the story of Simi (played by the beautiful and talented Garima Bhatnagar) and her two brothers Khushal (Viquar Shaikh) and Dharma (Adesh Chaudhary). Simi leads a protected life till she meets and falls in love with Parmeet (Sameera Sharma). A heart-warming tale of strong family ties, love, sacrifice, greed and endurance, Veeranwali depicts the transitions in the life of a woman who loves everything that is important to her and learns to survive on her own.

Characters

Khushal Deol (Veeranwali's elder brother):
Khushal Deol is Simmi's elder brother and the head of the family. He is extremely fond and protective of his sister and will go to any means to protect her from being hurt. A complete family man Khushal is married to Nimmo and has an angelic daughter called Pari.

Dharam Deol (Veeranwali's second brother):
Dharam Deol is the second sibling of the Deol family. He is a charmer and very charismatic person. Unlike his elder brother he is not temperamental. Dharam has a great sense of humour and is a confident person.

Simmi Deol:
Simmi is the youngest girl in the family of the Deol's. She loves both the brothers very much and her family and their happiness is all that matters to her. Both the brothers are fond of Simmi and they will do anything to keep her happy.

Parmeet:
Parmeet is Simmi's love interest , and absolute charmer he will fight any battles that keep him away from Simmi. Edgy and temperamental by nature he safeguards his ego and love interests very dearly.
