Walking to and fro like that of a moving pendulum , mumbling some silent swears , fright taking up her anxieties, staring at the jokers , she gave a stealthy glare spitting a humongous amount out fire .
" Achoo" one sneezed . " ...AAA ...CHOOO " the other threw up . Alarmed by their condition, she mixed the contents into boiling water ironic to her mood.
Making huge noises with the knife while cutting the veggies, she peered at them with vexation. Helplessness were written over their head like that of a siren alarming every time with her glaring making noises inside their minds and trying their best not to show out their dread feelings at present .
" Achooo" goes again . " Shut up will you ? ...already she is giving death glare..Don't prompt her to give more . " one said . " What can I do ? Sneezing is a natural process for your kind information , I cant help it ! ..You have to feel pity instead " the other replied . " Pity my foot " mumbled with a grit of the teeth sending fires out of the partially blocked ear .
" I can understand ...they two are immature kids ..what about you ? " She came out from the kitchen for the umpteenth time as she kept walking like a robotic keyed doll and screeching her lungs out . He lowered his eyes having nothing to explain . " When father is like this then why wont the children be like you !! " she screamed moving back to her chopper as she cut the veggies with her cooper piece .
"This is all because of you Kabir ...You are one mad creature ! " she whispered in his ears . " Yeah ...like this mad creature has a very good wife right ? ..." he asked giving a sarcastic smile gritting his teeth . " Obviously no ! ..You are the one making me crazy " he said darting his eyes . " What the ? " she squeaked frowning . " Will you both shut up ..we are already in trouble " The helpless and of course frightened father gave an advise that was exceptionally late as per the up given situation . " You know right ...her mood keeps changing like a dragon " he put up his sympathy felt condition making a fake face of a helpless kid .
Only to their dismal, the noise of the chopping turned higher as they heard her cutting the veggies into tinnier pieces. Disquiet by her action, trying to reply he started with " Laxmi ...Listen " only to be stopped by her piercing glare showing that she heard him . Gulping down the words that was about to come out , Ramesh stared at his sweet hearts- Dushmans - Trouble maker kids with a helpless face , asking them indirectly to pacify his enraged wife . Half smiling , quarter making a sad face ,quarter giving death glares , Ramesh stared at Kabir , then to Nisha , then to Kabir . Having no idea to about what exactly to do, they too gave a succor less pity look .
" ...Why are you staring at them ? ..Who told you all to get went in the rain that too in this cold climate huh ? ..." She came out of the cooking arena after putting all the veggies into the boiler . " ..I toh just for fun " Ramesh giggled with snide and worry . " Fun ? ...You three of them playing hide and seek in the rain , that too for five hours ? ...Poora kamre mein mitti pehla diya ! " she shouted glaring at the three of them who sat like scared puppies , with all warmers put on them and shivering with high fever .
" Achoo !! " Ramesh sneezed out this time . He covered the wrapper and took in hot steam from the water . The rest two were speechlessly sitting smiling like innocents. In the middle of nowhere , Kabir held Nisha's waist and said moving close to her ear . " Don't you think we should apologize ? " he said in a husky tone . " Apologize for what ? " she asked irritatingly with his ridiculous act holding her throat speaking in a dry voice due to her high rated cold . " ..For ...Ahem Ahem last night ..." he winked . Nisha at that point of time , felt like banging her head somewhere for his stupid thoughts bubbling at the moment making the situation embarrassing for her .
" Ahem Ahem ..You guys ..romance later " Ramesh interrupted making Nisha flush like a scarlet . Kabir faked being shy and blushing momentarily smiled and lowered his gaze . Seeing him doing that , Ramesh and Nisha gave a *Nothing can change you * glare .
"First help me get my head back ...She is already like a ranged bull ..then be shy okay " the father tried to give some piece of mind of their current situation making faces .
"What ?" Laxmi asked coming out from her place for the umpteenth time .
"Nothing " Ramesh spoke out in a reflex to avoid him being the scape- goat making the tom and jerry couple giggle . " Stand up all of you ..." she said and all of them obediently stood up from their respective steamer like that of tamed pets . " Drink this Kada .." she handed the glasses to each one of them . Petrified by the colour of the liquid , more by remembering its taste the trio stood frozen looking at the not so yummy beverage and then to each other . " I SAID DRINK NOW " she shouted .and they finished it in a go and kept their glasses on the table making yew -faces .
"I'll bring the soup " Laxmi went to the kitchen . "But" they interrupted together. "You will drink the soup " she ordered and they went mum again . " Like father like children " she scolded . Kabir and Nisha mentally giggled looking at their dad which was obviously known to Ramesh . " Beta ...when you will have kids na ..then you see " Ramesh gave a warning smiling satirically . "Aap bhi na ...mujhe sharam aata hai " Kabir faked blushing again keeping his index finger between his teeth and lowering his eyes . Nisha stomped his feet ," Kamina kahika " Ramesh sighed . On knowing nothing to do to butter Laxmi they were quietly watching her pouring the soup in the bowl . Eureka ! An idea popped into Nisha's mind . " Kabir ...you are right ...we should apologize " Nisha said smilingly making both of them stare at her like an owl . " ...See ...I told you na papa ..Nisha is also a K..Matlab Mrs K " Kabir smiled as if he won a battle . Ramesh sighed again .
" Shut up zubuthar ...I'm serious ..we should ask sorry to ma ...that's the only way " she tried to justify her point . " K turns J again " Kabir mumbled under his uneven cold filled breath punctured hopes filled up as he heard her point . They nodded as they didn't do the only thing from the last night-to apologize, instead they kept blaming each other and fighting around .
Laxmi kept the huge soup bowl on the table and took out smaller ones from the cupboard along with the spoons . Standing apologetically, The trio went near Laxmi and helped her . " Ma ..." Nisha tried to speak . The melting mother stood folding her hands facing the other side . " Ma ...We are sorry " Kabir said with softness this time . " Haan Lax.." and his words went down as she glared at him again "mi" he tried to finish with a smile . Not satisfied , She turned again . " Biwi ko manana mushkil his nahi na mumkin hai " Ramesh mumbled . " It's the dialog from DON ...you are bad at joking dad " Kabir teased . Ramesh gave a death glare , to be precised an helpless look of having idiots nearby him . " Papa ..lets go with plan b " Kabir suggested . " I got to see a day where I have to listen to you " Ramesh faked annoyance .
Holding their ears and doing sit ups , the three of them shouted ..." Laxmi - For give me " for ten times . Feeling embarrassed and melted like an heated ice, " Ab bas ...Next time if this happens then the leader will have to face the consequences " Laxmi eyed Ramesh while he smiled having no options . Within no time all of them hugged her .
Leading to the dining table , she fed the soup to all of them . Each one pulling the others leg and having secret romances .
