The hero of this show is not Viraj or Kabir but NISHA AND HER COUSINS. Yes, i agree in the latter part of the show more importance was given to Nisha and Kabir's love story and cousins had somewhat faded into the background. But that was because Kabir was married to NISHA. And its Nisha's journey that is being shown. Before the entry of Kabir, Viraj was also given equal importance because he was Nisha's inspiration and her mentor. So, basically both of them wer highlighted in some or the other part of the serial coz they wer associated with NISHA. Yes, Viraj's character was butchered towards the end, but i feel the TSC team was quite successful in bringing back the old inspiring and charming VSR.

So guys my sincere request just try to look beyond NiRaj and NiBir and see the effort the TSC team has put to try and bring all the cousins in the limelight, which even the CVs failed to do! Just for once look beyond Viraj and Kabir and focus on Nisha and her cousins and then ul understand what a fab job TSC has actually done!
