Chapter - 23
Viraj was back. Kaira didn't came with him as they have decided that kaira will first complete her research and then she will come back to viraj. Nisha and kabir were happy for them. Nisha was counting days for kabir's return.
Today nisha's joy know no bound because her kabira was going to come back today after two long months. She was smiling widely since morning and viraj was laughing at her condition. She had called ashish n times to know if kabir's plane landed. " Offo nisha yaar... tu sach m paagal ho gyi h... abhi 1 ghanta h use aane m... ur jaise hi vo aaega na u will get the first call." He said hitting his own head. " Ok... isme dante wali kya baat h... samaj gyi mai.." she said pouting. " Ha bhot samaj gyi h tabhi to aadhe ghante m ye tera 25th call h" he said. " Thik h... nhi karungi mai phone... baat hi nhi karni h mjhe" she got angry and hanged up. " Are sun to... offo... ab gussa ho gyi madam... kya karu mai in dno ka" he muttered.
Nisha sat in her room arms crossed over her chest with an angry expression. Her phone was ringing continuously but she wasn't picking it up. She was hell angry and irritated. Here kabir has landed in india. He searched ashish and met him at the airport. " Kaisa h ashu... maa kaisi h " kabir asked. " Sab thik h ur vasu aunty bhi achhi h tera wait kar rhi h par.." he said. " Par kya..." kabir asked. " Par ye ki teri bandaria jungli billi bn gyi h... gussa ho gyi h ur ab call bhi pick nhi kar rhi" ashish said. " Kyu... kya hua use" kabir asked. " paagal ho gyi h tere aane ki khushi m... phone kar kar k mjhe bhi paagal bna deti.." and he told him thier conversation. Kabir laughed. " Ruk I will call her" he said. He dialled her no. But she didn't picked up. " Jyada hi gussa ho gyi lagta h" kabir said. " Par mjhe ise manana aata h" he smirked.
Nisha was still in her room and was getting impatient as she was dying to talk to her bander but she was still angry. " Hi jungli billi" came a voice from behind. Nisha knew whose voice that was she turned to see its source. She saw viraj standing with laptop in his hand and kabir was on the screen. She was delighted to see him but was annoyed too. " lo bhai kabir hmara kaam ho gya... ab tm jaano ur nisha." He said and placed it in front of her.
" Kyu muh fula k baithi h.. bilkul khushi nhi hui na tjhe mjhe dekhke" he said trying to annoy her more. "U... bander idiot monkey donkey... koi itna time lgata h kya..." nisha said. " Hmmm ur tu jo mera phone nhi utha rhi thi uska kya" kabir said. Nisha checked her phone. She saw his miss calls. She felt really bad for not picking up. " M sorry" she said with tears in her eyes. " ab rone ko to nhi bola h na maine... jab dekho roti rehti h.." he said. " chhipkali khi ki " he added. " Kya kha... mai chhipkali hu... to tu kuwa h" she said. " ha ha handsome kuwa... tabhi to tere jaisi chhipkali mjhe itna pyaar karti h" he smirked. " tu kitna k hai na kabir..." she said. " Ur tu kitni j hai nisha" he replied. She made an hawww expression. " Tu aa kabir mere samne fir dekh maine teri chatni na bnai na to mera naam badal dena" she hissed. " Thik h to kya bulau tjhe... bandariya chhipkali jungli billi ya mr.k ki mrs j" he smiled. She blushed at the last part. " k kahin ka " she said. " Achha chal bye... " kabir said. " Bye kabir... kab aaega tu yaar" nisha asked. " be patient mrs. J... we will meet very soon" kabir winked.
" ae bandariya kya kar rhi h..." kabir asked her at phone. " tjhe maarne ki planning" she said. " Ohho... to kya plan kia h" kabir asked. " Surprise murder" she said. They giggled at it. " Achha nisha ab sun I will be coming to gangwals house tomorrow to tu bhi pahuch jana" kabir said. " Sachhi... thik h mai aaj hi ghar chali jaungi" nisha said. Suddenly a fear gripped her. " Kabir... dadu" she said. " Nisha... mai hu na tere sath... mai sabko mna lunga... ur fir bade bhaiya b to hmare sath h na" he tried to assure her. " mai aaj jate hi papa se baat karungi... I m sure he will understand me" she said. He smiled.
Nisha and viraj reached gangwal house in the evening. All were happy to see the daughter of the house. She missed her family and cousins. All welcomed them with blessing. Cousins took nisha to her room while viraj was with dadaji and other elders.
" nishu bol kabir kab aa rha h " kirti asked excitedly. " Tjhe kabir ka intzaar h ya kisi ur ka" nisha smirked. " Kya yaar nisha" kirti replied. " Kal aa rha h" nisha replied. " To plan kya hai" dolly asked. " Pta nhi dolly di... mjhe kuch samaj hi nhi aa rha h " she said worried.
" Nishu... tune chachu se baat ki" umesh asked. " Nhi... " nisha replied. " Nishu to wait kya kar rhi h... jake baat kar yaar..." saurav said. " Hmmm " nisha said.
Nisha tried to talk to ramesh but everytime she start her voice betray her. " Papa... " nisha said. " Ha nishu" ramesh asked who was sitting in her room chatting with her. "Mjhe aapko kuch btana h" nisha was nervous. " Ha beta... bol na kya baat h... jab se aae hai tb se dekh rha hu. Kuch kehna h kya " he said smiling at her. " Bhot imp baat karni h " she said. He can clearly see that his daughter wanted to say something important to him but is very nervous. " Nishu... beta I m ur friend too... if u can't talk to ur father u can talk to ur friend" he said. She smiled and nodded. " U r happy with viraj? " ramesh asked. " there is no answer to this question papa" she said. He looked puzzled. " I have to confess something to you" she said. " Tell me beta... what is it" ramesh was getting worried. " Vo mai..." nisha couldn't complete her sentence as her mother called them for dinner. " nishu di... papa... maa bula rhi h" bunty said. Nisha was irritated now. Ok fine I will tell papa tomorrow morning, she thought.
Whole night she was tossing in her bed, thinking for right words to tell her father about it. She drifted in sleep in the morning.
Kabir and ashish started off their journey early morning. Kabir was on cloud nine because he was going to see nisha after a long time. " ashu m so happy" kabir shouted as he increased his driving speed. " are are... dheere mere bhai... uske ghar jna h hospital nhi samjha" ashish said. " Hmmm " kabir replied. They were chatting happily when suddenly some kid came in front of their car. Kabir applied break with full force and turned his car. Within a minute their car crashes against a tree.
" Kabirrr..." nisha screamed in her sleep and woke up sweating. Viraj who was passing by her room rushed to her. She was breathing heavily. " Nisha kya hua aapko" viraj asked. " Kabir... viraj... kabir... mjhe kabir k pass jna h viraj... ". By this time ramesh and cousins reached to her room. " nisha.. bura sapna dekha hoga aapne" viraj tried to calm her down. " no viraj... something is wrong... very wrong... pls call kabir... I want to talk to him... pls I will die without him viraj pls" she was pleading him. " nishu calm down.." dolly came forward and hugged her while she cried. Ramesh was standing there, he wasn't getting anything. He had a lot of questions but he thought to ask them later. Suddenly viraj's phone rang... he picked it up and talked. He looked at nisha and then at cousins. " nisha we have to go" he said. " Where" umesh asked. " Hospital..." he looked at nisha and holded her shoulders " kabir ka accident ho gya h nisha... he is in hospital..." he said trying to sound normal. Nisha looked at him in disbelief. She stopped crying. " Mjhe abhi uske pass jana... " she said between her sobs. Viraj nodded. " Umesh saurav sukku tm log sath m chalo" he said. " Mai bhi jaungi" kirti said. Viraj nodded.
Everyone left for hospital... it was early morning so they reached hospital in no time. Ramesh followed them.
They found ashish at reception. " Ashish kabir kha h... bol na pls.." nisha holded his shoulder and asked. " Nisha he is there... come with me" he said and took her to his room. Kabir was lying on the bed. His hand and head were bandaged. Nisha walked towards him and touched his forehead. He winced in pain and opened his eyes to look at her. " Nisha.." he said. She bursted in tears hearing her name from him. She hugged him tightly. " kitna dra dia tha tune mjhe... jaan nikal gae thi meri... tjhe kuch ho jta to mai kya karti kabir.." she said between her sobs.
Kabir smiled "kuch hua to nhi na... rona band kar nisha" he made her look into his eyes and wiped her tears. " m ok... look ekdum fit hu mai" kabir said and tried to lift his hand but winced in pain. Nisha hit him lightly "dikh rha h... ekdum fit" she said. " Achha thik h na... ro to mat... mar thodi na gya hu jo itna aansu bha rhi h" he said. Nisha pulled his collar with anger. " kabir... dubara esa bola h na... to mjhse bura koi nhi hoga samjha" he can see her pain, fear and anger. The intensity of her pain was this much that it immediately reflect in his eyes too. " Nishaaa..." only this is what came out before he choked on his own emotions. He just hugged her and let his tears fall.
The whole scene was witnessed by ramesh who was standing at the window. Viraj came to kabir's room after he talked to the doctor. He noticed ramesh but decided to talk to him later. Viraj entered as nisha pulled herself from kabir. " Kabir..." viraj said.
" Bade bhaiya kaise h aap" kabir asked.
" Baat mat kijie hmse... itne irresponsible kaise ho sakte h aap... kya haalat bna li h apni... socha h kya kuch ho sakta tha" viraj was hell angry on him while nisha was standing and watching them. " sorry bade bhaiya..." kabir said in a small voice. " Hmmm.. thats better... now nisha aap yhi rhiye kabir k pass.. he need u... I will handle everything...alright?" He said to which nisha nodded. " Ur aap kabir... bilkul manmani nhi karenge samjhe" he glared at him. Kabir smiled and nodded.
Kirti and cousins were with ashish who too had injured himself. Ashish was sitting on a bench and kirti sat beside him and hugged him. " u ok na" she asked. " yes... are u afraid" he asked.
" Of course I m... I was so scared" she said clutching on him. Ashish just smiled and patted her back. " I luv u... more than anything" she said. " I know.."
He said hugging her tightly.
All the cousins meet kabir. They all had a good time. All the while nisha was standing in corner and one can clearly see the tears she was trying to hide everytime they threaten to fall. Kabir was noticing her but he didn't said anything.
Viraj came outside and found a confused ramesh looking at the sky.
" papa... I know that u have a thousands of questions in ur mind... I will answer them all... lets go to the cafeteria" he said. Ramesh nodded and followed him.
Viraj ordered two coffees and they both sat on table. " Papa... I know watever I m going to tell u... this should be told by nisha... but I know she couldn't do it now... it is very important for u to know." He said. Ramesh looked at him with curiosity and was giving his attention to him. Viraj narrated the whole thing to him even everything about kaira and how kabir made him to patch up with her. Ramesh couldn't believe what he was hearing. This information was too much for him. He walked towards kabir's room without saying a word to viraj. Viraj too followed him.
They stopped by the door as they saw inside. Nisha was feeding kabir while he was constantly watching him. She was trying hard to control the tears. She touched his forehead and he winced hard in pain. Her tears breakthrough in no time. The second he saw them falling he forgot his pain, he catched the first tear and wiped away others. " nisha... don't waste these precious tears of yours... they made me realise how much pain I give to you... they stab my heart" kabir said. Nisha holded his hand and kissed it. " these tears are not of pain kabir... u can never give me pain.. not even unknowingly... that I know... but the fear of losing you isn't going away kabir... m scared... scared of what could have happened to you... I can't see u in pain kabir... I would have died without you" she couldn't control herself anymore and poured her heart out in front of him. " I promise u nisha I would never leave you... if I ever had too u will bring me back... hai na jaan" kabir said. Nisha nodded in a yes and wiped her tears away. She kissed his forehead and his eyes, wiping all the tears. " no more rona dhona..ok" she said. " aansu ki factory se esi baate achhi nhi lagti" he smirked. " Achha bachho mai aansu ki factory hu..." she hit him on his hand. " Ouch...ouch... nishaa... ab tod hi degi kya" he said as his hand pained. " I m so sorry kabir... m really sorry" she said and soothe his hand. " Offo nisha I was joking yaar..." kabir said. " but u r hurt" she said. He smiled because he knew she know him inside out.
" Papa... I know u are very angry... but I m sure u can clearly see the love bond between Kabir and nisha. They love each other beyond anything papa... I know u will take the right decision" viraj said.
Ramesh entered the room, kabir looked at him confused while nisha stood up.
