Until Pia came into picture, I didn't see Ansh having objections to having Ruby as his GF. (even after that for that matter, he was not just ready to make any commitment) in the lantern scene he did not seem to dislike having her as GF, he did seem to speak to her sweetly. and yeah modern times BF-GF are not so shy about kissing, I think.
