Rocky is not too excited for any birthday party neither from sweety nor from pinky. I dont think its really gonna matter to him how "big" party/event her family throws for him. All he was excited for was his father's promise to him. This happens to everyone, nobody can really deny. We used to get (and still get) so excited when our parents promise(d) us that they would get us that particular thing if we do good in our academics. This is a common thing in almost all household, most teenagers have gone through this. Lucky was ready too to keep his promise to his son. Now this promise was not something sweety did not know before, was it? Sweety did know about it that rocky would be getting a bike on his 18th birthday. Now when the birthday came closer, rocky's excitement started reaching new highs, lucky prepared himself to get the bike for him... Suddenly... The caring mother, who understands her son better than everyone else, who claims to know very well whats right and whats wrong for her son, interrupted.
How could sweety be so sure that her son will defintely meet an accident with his new bike? That could be a mother's worry. I totally understand this worry of a mom. I also agree that sweety has all the right to order her son to not to get bike cause she does not want. As a parent, sweety can do that. But why now suddenly? Entire family knew rocky would get bike. Sweety could have kept her opinion when lucky was promising rocky about the bike. But she did not say anything that time. Now when rocky's birthday came nearer, the "weird mode" in sweety got activated. Its so relatable that rocky was super excited for the bike, he was designing his room with the various posters of bikes. After all he was promised, he knew his father would not back off.
Now what sweety did was really not done. Not just she made her husband a promise breaker but also, she broke her son's heart. No matter how many justifications does sweety give to rocky that why doesn't she want him get bike, if i place myself as rocky, i don't think i could be able to understand my mother. Cause its too late. I was already very excited for the bike, my father had promised, but suddenly something clicked in my mom's mind and she couldn't stop herself from stopping my father to get me that? Why suddenly? this is my question.
