All good things come to an end some day or another day, this is the universal rule. The same way daily soaps & reality shows come to an end sometime or the other.

However the question is, who exactly decides the time when a particular show should end? What actually determines when a particular daily soap would reach its culmination? Many questions lingering in our minds can only be answered by the channel and respective authorities who derive upon the final decision of a specific daily soap's fate.

The 'Wrapping Up' of a show is not an easy task. A spark of news which indicates the ending fate of a daily soap is usually followed by out pouring of protests by the audience through the various means of communication. Few sectors of the audience start mailing and flooding the related Facebook & Twitter Accounts in order to send a thorough message to the channel authorities & everyone concerned. The 'Navya' Fans are also going through the same phase. They are fighting their level best to keep their show alive on TV.

Navya a youth based show on Star Plus, which connects the traditions of the past with the generation of the present and blends perfectly, giving the audience a show which values the cultures of the past, while still looking ahead with the changing times. The show has a huge number of fan following, as youngsters especially can connect with the show while the show teaches them values of yesterday & modernity of today and the future. Star Plus, the top rated 'GEC' has decided to wrap up the show 'Navya' on the 29th of June 2012, with 22nd June 2012 supposedly being the last date of shoot. This has left the fans of the show 'Navya' in an uproar as they express their displeasure openly to the channel through various mediums.

'Navya' fans have already created petitions to collect signatures and have urged Star Plus to respect the fan base. They have been flooding the twitter accounts over the weekend from the time the rumors of Navya wrapping up hit news channels. The fans have created blogs, Facebook pages to garner maximum support to stop the channel from wrapping up their favorite show. "SaveNavya For Peaceful Life" campaign has already started, and while the news of this campaign is spreading on a larger scale with support pouring in to keep the show 'Navya' on air.

The huge fan bases of Navya have written letters to Star Plus expressing, urging & stating arguments as to why 'Navya' should not be ended. We, at Fuzion Productions obtained a copy of the 'Navya' fan mails which were also sent to Star Plus indicating the injustice being done to them. The campaign letter states, "For a channel who wants to promote 'Nayi Soch' and present shows like Satyamev Jayate as a part of General Entertainment, shutting down a show like 'Navya' doesn't make sense and frankly speaking is entirely contradictory and even slightly hypocritical". The letter further more describes the instances where fans where unpleased with the time change that occurred from 10pm to 6 PM in the evening and lack of frequent promos, including lack of Maha-episodes for the past three months. Fans are making it a point to fight until there is hope.

The letter also quotes, "All I would like to submit is that it appears that you have willfully allowed a wonderful show to lose TRPs and then are using the same as a reason to axe it".

"Your decision to discontinue this serial in this way, without any clear reason or rationale, is shocking and a reassertion of your disregard for the millions of Indians, especially the young, who are on this progressive journey towards change - their struggles and their everyday reality". – Shilpa, an avid viewer

It is clear that the viewers of Navya are unhappy with the decision Star Plus has taken. The uproar is visible and seems imply that they are not ready to let go of their favorite show 'Navya' yet and with their #SaveNavya campaign they are making it a point to grab attention & be heard, but the main question is will Star Plus hear the protests & keep the show on air or will the requests go unheard by Star Plus, this is yet to be seen.
