To all the Renukas of the world!

My heart went out to all the Renukas of this world. Renuka is like many Indian girls, always the perfect obedient daughter who never dared to fall in love, thrown into an arranged marriage with a perfect stranger who keeps reminding her of her inadequacies. I loved the way she tries to stand on her own feet. She has just begun to discover her own abilities when she is thrown into a situation where she might have to lose her daughter. I really like this sensitive potrayal and I think this is what draws us to this serial.
Anant of course was brilliant as usual. I loved the quiet anger, the sensitivity and gentleness that he displayed after Gautam left.
I always felt that this serial would be pathbreaking in many ways and I hope we Navya fans will get to see some really good episodes in the coming weeks.

Great post!! I couldn't agree more..I know all of us fans complain and whine a lot but at the end of the day Navya is one of those very few shows on TV which tells a relatively realistic story and deals with some very real issues of today's society..Renu's track is something I had been looking forward to for the longest time and I must say the CVs have been brilliant at handling her track so far..As you said, there are many more Renukas out there..She lived by the rules all her life, followed her parents' orders blindly, and yet life has been nothing but unfair to her..I love her resilient attitude, how she is not willing to give up, how she wants to stand on her own two feet, how she keeps fighting for her daughter's sake..My heart went out to her today, as she said truly, her daughter is the driving force behind her otherwise shattered life..I hope the many Renukas out there take inspiration from our Renu..Kudos to the CVs for handling this track so brilliantly!
