Navya, the new face of Star Plus is one of the most interesting character we have come across on the wide canvas of the television. Navya is standing on the bridge between modernity and conventionality confused which way to travel. Despite being split between values and aspiration, she manages to be a good daughter, sister, student, friend and a girlfriend. Let's take a look at the many faces of Navya.
Navya, a diligent daughter
Navya is a simple, sweet girl-next-door. She tries to strike a balance between traditions and modernity to keep her family happy. She helps her mother in the household chores like cooking food and keeping the house neat even after attending the college. She refused to go for the picnic to please her Dadi, and to her luck, Dadi was in a good mood and lets her go. She has been brought-up with great family values.
Navya, a great sister
Navya is a perfect sister to Renuka. She cares for her and loves to spend time with new-born niece. She cancels her plans with the friends to be with Renuka in the hospital. And, yes, how can we forget she didn't attend (Anant's sister) Nimisha's ring ceremony because Renuka's in-laws were to come over for a dinner. She didn't want to be home, but she did it for her sister. All sisters can definitely identify with Navya and Renuka ' they have tiffs and share secrets, they are more of friends to each other.
On the other hand, Harsh and Navya share the Tom and Jerry relationship, love-hate relation. Harsh always finds reason to land Navya in trouble and enjoys seeing her miseries. But as loving siblings, they also support each other when time comes ' The way Harsh supports Navya when she wants to go for the college picnic, was so memorable!
Navya, a bright student
Navya is an intelligent girl who outperforms as a student, she is studious and diligent. She excels at college and is helpful as well. She tutors Anant in the computer project. She fulfils her promise and helps Anant perform well in the computer exams. Mrs. Majumdar, her teacher trusts her innocence and thus saves her from the wrath of Rupesh Sir at the picnic. Navya, sneaks in the boys room to apologize to Anant and while leaving Rupesh Sir sees her. Though, she manages to escape and reach back in the girl's room. The next morning when Rupesh Sir doubts her, Mrs. Majumdar interferes and assures Rupesh Sir that Navya is the most decent and meek of all the girls and can't be behind all this.
Navya, a dependable friend
Navya has grown-up in a conservative environment as doesn't have too many friends. Her only friends are Appy and Ritika, whom she knows since school. Though, she is the quiet and shy one, in the trio - she is the one who completes it! For the sake of her friends, she lies to her parents for the first time and goes out with them in the night, all the way guilty for doing it! Navya, will never mind walking an extra mile for her friends.
Navya, in the making of being a lovely girl friend
The romantic sparks between Navya and Anant is what dominates the screen for now. Navya has finally accepted her liking for Anant and this marks the beginning of their relationship. All the qualities that take to be a perfect girlfriend are possessed by Navya-shy, meek, beautiful, innocent, friendly and helpful. She for her love sneaks in the boy's room to seek an apology from Anant and even kiss him.
