No act of yours has inspired me so much to make a post here... as this one has.
Over your journey on the show, you have portrayed various shades and emotions in your dance. Some...moved me tremendously while others I could just move on from. You portrayed love, passion, angst, agony, horror and simplicity.
But what you did today, is something that cannot be described in words...
Paso Doble- never heard of this dance form before the show and I watched your performance before going back and searching for some youtube videos with this theme ... unlike other ballroom dance forms, the primary emotion dominating this dance form is: anger, rage, hatred... a strong urge to overpower your dancing partner. Where other ballroom dances are all about supporting and leading the other, this one is all about putting the other person down.
I never ever imagined that two people who I have only known to support and be each other's pillars of strenth, could pull off something with such ease, grace and with so much convict.
Right from the expressions on your face which didn't dilute even when you stopped dancing...to your body language and the choreography... I was stunned, thrilled and mesmerized. This was not passion or love, this was pure anger and two people waiting to put each other down... the fact that the theme itself was non-romantic in nature added a different flavour to your act (all the points to Nishant for coming up with this). The feminist in me would have loved to see her sit in that chair instead of him, but there again, you portrayed the harsh reality I suppose. The full 30 was a very very well deserved and I echo Terence when he says "even if you don't win, you are already winners"... heck, for me, that has been true since a long, long time anyway... but for your sake now I truly hope that you take away that trophy... yours had truly been a journey of evolving into dancers, especially yours- Mohit.
Mohit...I don't know what to say, I have seen you right from MJHT days, seen you grow from a below-average actor to a decent one...from a person with low confidence levels to someone who can now balance Sanaya so well in your conversations and interviews... and now, I see you turn into a dancer from a non-dancer. Very few people have the kind of hardwork and dedication that you have- to see you visibly improve with every single performance. Ofcourse half of the credit to Sanaya for having so much faith and patience in your dancing skills... just like you have showed the faith in her, all these years when she has been working non-stop while you have been struggling.
When it comes to the TV industry I have less than negative faith about personal relationships, but then I see you flourishing despite everything... and all I want to say is, God bless you both... and hope you reach even greater heights, both: professionally and personally. 🤗
