Hi

So I've been reading so many complaints about Sajid especially when he gave Asha-Rithwik a 6/11.
It got me thinking why would he do that and this is what I think...
They have 11 marks to work with and I think he splits it like this...
5 for male dancer
5 for female dancer
1 for chemistry

So for Ashwik dance he gave 6 cus
5/5 for Rithwik
1/5 for Asha
0/1 for chemistry

What do you guys think?

I don't agree at all, as a non-dancer Asha deserves way more that a 1/5 according to your scaling. This girl gave full on effort and tries very hard to match Rithvik's skills. I thought they were judging people based on their personal skills so in that retrospect no way does Asha deserve that.
To me Sajid is not qualified to be a judge period.
When he is giving other couples a 11/11 who werent near AshVik how can he give them a 6/11

Sory but I dont agree with ur scaling for asha ..She is doing her best and with all dedication and hardwork and it is showing too..She is trying to match with rithvik energy ,skills and she is doing it well too..she is pushing herself to do her best .and being non-dancer she is performing well !!!.
So we cant really say that this the way the judges scale or a particular judge scale ...we cant put it up on that scale !!

If this was how he scored it then it shud be like this
Rithvik-5/5
Asha-3/5(atleast)
Chemistry- 1

total- 9

Most of us agree that they didnt deserve full marks but deserved 9 atleast.

Going by your allocations ...
Rithvik of course, was perfect. But Sajid seems to have underrated Asha. She was awesome. I did the caps and she matched Rithvik beat for beat, she matched his energy, she was sizzling in all the classic Lavni moves, she was d.a.n.c.i.n.g...period

There should be some form of third umpire technology ...clearly ...In a performance like this ...the subtle magnitude of the act was lost completely because it happened so quickly.

For example did anyone catch the beautiful coquettish moves by Asha at the start?
Did anyone catch the part where Rithvik puts his fist as it were, against her top side, middle and lower...and she had o move to those beats?
Did anyone catch the part where Rithvik is doing his western thing and she gets him into the Lavni mode and they do that for a beat or two.
These were some obvious ones ...there were many many more ...

There was so much dancing in 2:50 minutes...this is a dance show ...what else should be looked at? Over and above that ...judging is a personal choice. Terence did mention at the start of the show, that he would judge couples relative to themselves and not compare them to others ...I didn't know there was a rubric ...if there is ..lets see it.

Su, 🤗🤗I always admire you on your keen observations but you just rock here. I was amazed at how you read my mind !! The moves that I had noticed were par excellence, you had noticed as well. And hope, the rest as well and Ashvik's hard work hadn't gone unnoticed.
The best few seconds for me were the bolded parts. It was done so finely, RD did in MJ style and Asha in Lavni.
Hope I am not biased as their fan but just dance wise, they were so many subtle melodies in their act that wasn't visible in others. There was no flashy backdrop and the music wasn't mainstream and so, the Wow! factor might have seemed less for the audience but no way was the dance any less superior.
Everyone talks about Sajid but I was dissappointed that Terrence didn't bring out the subtlities except for the obvious ones like moon walk.
And back to the topic maker, did you notice Asha had difficulty getting up after they finished the performance? It is because she had put in every bit of her energy in to her act and she was NO LESS to Rithvik in their dance. I am no master of dances but unlike other classical dance forms, Lavni movements are fluid and not very distinct as it is a folk form.
That's why Sajid's marks were way off than what it should have been.

Vasu! 👏
It's true that neither Terence pointed out the subtleties and Shilpa too commented adversely on Asha.

I'm beginning to think there is no method to the madness here ...you just have to get lucky and the judges have to be having a good day. This is not a national level debate competition where judges have been trained to judge before they are allowed anywhere near competitions.

By the same rote, then, why so s.e.r.i.o.u.s. ?
