Tina and Hussain Kuwajerwala have taken home the Nach Baliye trophy in its second season. The success is sweeter pri marily because the two deserved to win and also because it was Tina's first brush with camera and celebrityhood.
A fashion designer, she doesn't belong to the television industry. With the winner's trophy firmly in her hand, she is naturally ecstatic. "It's not sunk in yet. I am already feeling the vacuum. I want to dance some more. I want to go for my rehearsals," she says a day after the victory. Interestingly, it's their first wedding anniversary on the 21st and Tina thinks the trophy is the perfect gift. She says she received some very sweet reactions after her performance and the victory. "My choreographers said I was better than Hussain, Gouri and Yash (the other finalist couple) and that was a huge compliment. "From day one everybody made me comfortable. I love dancing, especially with Hussain. So, the fact that I was facing the camera for the first time wasn't all that scary a thought. I remember Shweta (Kawaatra) telling me, 'Even if you are nervous, don't show it.' And that's true for me." So, has she chosen a place in her house for the trophy? "Yes, I think I will put it alongside our photograph taken during the first shoot we did for Nach Baliye." Will she take up more television offers? "Yes, if it's interesting, lucrative and has Hussain in it." The two are off for a short getaway in India on their first wedding anniversary. "Ideally, we would have liked to take a nice, long break because Hussain really needs it. But since he is shooting for a daily serial, he needs to report soon," she says. Finally, her toughest moment in Nach Baliye. "I guess, when we danced with the blindfold. I am the nervous sort and my first reaction is always, 'Are you mad', I can't do it'." Now with the trophy, we are sure she will do it again."I am already feeling the vacuum, I want to dance some more and go back to my rehearsals" - TINA
